Lautaro blanked. Breathing space for osihmen but he can't still relax. He needs more goals to put the golden boot title to rest

Tomorrow vs Fiorentina, we feast. Osimhen on a mission to extend his goals tally.

Pep Guardiola's take on Erling Haaland giving his penalty to İlkay Gündoğan to go for a hat trick:

'The game is not over. It shows how nice and generous Erling is. If it is 4-0 with 10 minutes left, OK. But at 2-0?'

Pep was livid😂😂

Golden Eaglets XI vs South Africa

Captain Precious Williams #9 and Favour Daniel #20 drop to the bench as Ugbade goes with Charles Agada #11 and Light Eke #19 from the start.

The rest of the XI stays the same.

Yahaya Lawali is captain with Williams benched.

And somehow, the Abdullahi guy remains upfront. Until we embrace meritocracy as a country, we will remain where we are.

Somehow I think the coaches are keeping faith with him because his talent/quality overtime were never in doubt. He was among our best players at the WafuB and topscored among all the forwards. Consistent in the friendlies and prep games as well.

Personally, I would have him start from the bench today to give him a rash wakeup call but well, it is Ugbade's call. Perhaps the lad will show more calm and composure upfront today.

Charles Agada, #11 is another potential fine finisher who can strike the ball with power. I hope he also brings his A-game today. Light Eke is already known by most in here. Exciting lad who can make things happen in attack. I hope he scores today.

In all, let's hope the boys show finishing improvement in the final third coz it is clear they know how to transit plays from back to front. But all those beautiful transition plays without finishing up chances is worthless. Hopefully, that changes today.

They should calm down with their passes… they tend to over do it.

Napoli's King: A tale of two perspectives.

King of Naples - Who is it really?

Truest Answer: VICTOR JAMES OSIMHEN.

Yes. Their tendency to "overpass" in the final third is a worry. Hopefully they apply a more balanced approach in their attacking plays in the final third.

I hope Ugbade has done some corrections on that in training ahead of today's game.

South Africa up 1-0.

Seems our lads are really bad at defending Corners. See our slow reaction to that second ball.

I wasn't even comfortable when SA won that corner kicks. The delivery was also splendid. Damn!

Did they swear for these boys with missing of chances? Look at that sweet chance to equalize.

And Abdullahi has started his misses again. We almost equalised immediately but he squandered the chance.

Sweet pass from Linus but Abdullahi ehn.

Both can share the throne. As much as VO9 is their highest goalscorer and one of our own kvara also played his part as an under the radar signing from dinamo batumi. I'll just say his wing wizardry and produce compliment victor's determination, pressing and finishing. I'll rather classify them as a superb duo rather than the rubbish the serie A page did.

This south African kids defence is leaky just like against Zambia. Our boys just need to try and stop conceding easy goals and we will win.

It's obvious that there are no true finishers in this team. All we have are good ball players and fast runners. No true finisher in this team.

Playing Abubakar Abdullahi must really be a mistake. The chances he keeps getting and keeps missing are annoying.

Perhaps indeed Ugbade was wrong to keep trust in him and bench Precious.

The amount of chances this boy squanders ehn!!!
