Linus has been brilliant but has made some atrocious passes through the lines. He needs to stop trying those ball and keep finding players in spaces. Getting balls to players in spaces will help us more than trying to force play fruitlessly. |

Our midfielders should operate a bit deeper. It is useless trying to attack in mass and leave gaps that can be exploited. Build play and let the forwards do their thing. |

About the Midfield, Hope Linus has obviously been the only one making things happen. The amount of chances he has created, the passing sequences he has initiated, the control he gives our midfield should not be looked down on because of couple of strikes from distance which he carried out based OBVIOUSLY on Ugbade's instructions. If you watched Linus from the first 2 games, he wasn't this consistent at shooting from distance. Ugbade obviously fed him that new instruction. Owoyemi has been anonymous. Ogbabido just keeps floating. Linus is the only Midfielder doing anything of note in that midfield. #MDU17AfconDiaries 1 Like 1 Share |

Agada should help out defensively. Why running with so much intensity in attack and not doing the same when not in possession. |

TheSuperNerd: But he is not leading the line from this match. He is playing deep behind the players upfront. The they need to draw fouls which ever way if they want to score in this match. |

Yes. Some of his attempted BTL passes have not connected but some of them has and it created some good goalmouth moments for our attackers. Abdullahi missed the biggest of them. What he needs do is spread the plays to the wings and not only focus through the middle. TheGoodJoe: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Abbdulahi should trying calming down before he shoots. He should stop erratic shots. Work on finding gaps in goal and going for the gaps. |

TheSuperNerd: Our play need to take the wide spaces and out midfielders, especially Linus needs to exploit those wide areas. Finally, we need to work on winning corners. To me, that is the easiest solution to a low block. |

Nigeria should pack the bus and pass the ball around and focus on counter attacks now that they have equalized again. |

He is the striker in this game. Only that he switches positions with Agada sometimes or Light. He is mobile and sometimes drops deeper into the final third. And yes, they need to really start playing smart around the box. When they can't get through, shiped the ball and draw the foul and Michael will take it from there. #MDU17AfconDiaries forgiveness: 1 Like |
