He didn't shoot this often in the first two games. His shooting today was obviously instructions-based from the coaches.

And his long balls have helped us sustain pressure and keep control and switch plays in certain phases of plays. He has been good. Really good.

The coaches have proved me wrong.

Let's see what ifeoluwa can play.

Oga, he hasn't shot in a while now. Are you watching at all?

Linus is the best midfielder on the pitch today. So let it rest.

codemaniacs:

He should stop his long range shots... Ugbade and the coaching staff made wrong decision telling the players to shoot from long range.

Morocco trailing Zambia by 2 goals, Morocco were very lucky Nigeria forgot our scoring boots, they were completely outplayed.

I'm repeating myself in case the coaches are reading this thread...

So that they instruct and warn him against such decisions.

If Light had scored that goal, it would have been one of the goals of the tournament so far. That chance has been replayed for about four times now.

Morocco beat us. They will be first.

BronzeTiger:

Are we going to top the group if both results remain like this?

Nigeria didn't forget scoring boots.. Nigeria started the wrong strikers due to the coaches stupidity.

Those missed chances still came back to haunt us. Well I'm glad for this win. Coming back from losing positions two times in this game shows the gradual growth of these kids mentality.

It means South Africa faces Senegal in quarter final and Nigeria faces the second placed team
in Group C between Burkina Faso & Cameroon who are playing tomorrow. I think Burkina may win.

Quarter finals
Senegal v South Africa
Morocco v Algeria
Mali v Congo
Nigeria v Burkina Faso/Cameroon

39 shots 12 on target from 9ja though many of the shots were weak
Dokunmu should now know that french pass kes-kese grin but dude has a good future with SA national teams sha
am happy abu scored, he's a very good left footer but finishing is raw
Eke bounced back from missing a PK to showing some light at the end of group tunnel
Ugbade has a lot of work to do at the final third if the team meets an efficient team, we may never have the luxury of coming back to win'
Wish the boys a better QF

The defense is terrible.

They get jittery and nervous when players are running at them instead of them to press and close-in on the opposition strikers they give the strikers space.

Plus the midfield doesn't drop deep to help them due to laziness.

The commentator summed it up in the end. Our team can be a good possessive side if we put our mind to it.

Linus in the second half was unbelievable. Controlled the game like he was holding a PlayStation console.

If Ugbade can stop the reckless long balls and allow these boys play the passing game, they will wreck teams
