When you booked your flight, do you book round trip or one way? For example, if I am going in August when should I put it as a return date?

If you are flying with those airline earlier stated, you need not book round trips.

One way is better if you're not applying for PBTA at banks, if you are not flying with EgyptAir etc. Check with the airline you want to use.

You may want to check if they have started accepting one-way ticket. Although I am not sure. It is either EgyptAir or Moroccan Airline, not sure but I know one of them doesn't accept one-way ticket

If you haven't booked your flight already, I will advise you take a strategic position on it and do the following:

1. Change your VPN to Canada. This will make cookies see your location as in Canada.
2. Search around 12am and 4am EST for cheapest flight tickets.
3. Focus on AirCanada, British Airline, AirFrance and KLM.
4. You will be able to book for around CAD 500 and CAD 1,300 if you have CAD or other foreign currency to pay.
5. If you do not have CAD, and you are able to get a cheap flight from AirCanada, they have partnership with British Airlines, they most probably would want you to leave Nigeria on a British Airlines flight because they don't ply Nigeria route, call them and ask if you could come to their office to make payment using NGN, they will charge the official rate of around $1/330. Ask before taking this action.

This is my advice.

This information/method is proven as I have booked a flight in the past for a family of 3 traveling from Nigeria to Canada within 4 days interval between booking date and flight date for just $3,888-- I believe you can imagine how much this would have cost. It would have cost not less than $10,000 as that was what I found. I even saw flight tickets as high as $15,000, $20,000 etc.

Kindly do not take this as an advert or professional advice. I only shared what I know and have tested which worked for me. It may not work for you.

EDIT.
Do not board a flight having stop over in the US if you don't have US visa.

Flights going through the US are always cheaper; do not be tempted to buy this tickets if you don't have the US visa.

Also, if your journey is having more than one stop over in Schengen region, do not board if you don't have visa. You can board if it's just one stop over in Shengen region.

You can pass through the UK and the Ireland without a visa if you hold a Canadian visa.

I am having same issue. Please how did you resolve this problem 'with zenith dollar card

My dollar card and my brother's dollar card kept declining too. You hv to go to zenith and ask them because when I went there they were telling me they blocked everybodys dollar cards from working on all websites that don't have "3d secure" tbh I don't know what they were saying, but still go to the bank yourself and find out. My brother and I had to write letter so they can unblock our cards

Abeg eh, this is week 8 of my visa application. Can a co-op permit processing delay the processing study permit?

I was told via email that my application is under review but my IRCC dashboard says vaguely "application in progress"

Are you in Ontario province or in Toronto city? If yes, then the cost of living will be very expensive. But be hopeful and persevere till you reach your goal by God's grace.

Yeah brother school is in Ontario Toronto and it’s pretty tough out here. Very hard to get a job aswell.

I see some people open there mouth to talk anyhow saying students didn’t come with enough BTa or something, I just laughed. Me and my few friends spend over 1300 dollars each every month . Do the Maths in nigeria money that’s almost N780,000 plus if you use the black market which is what we use . That is some people salary in nigeria for a whole year.

Let me break it down. A room here is from 850cad each month which is even shared toilet and kitchen. Some of my friends are paying a thousand cad each month. You will buy foodstuffs, transportation, phone bill and other things.

Now tell me how much you want to come in with from naija without a job , how long can you last before going broke. People just come online saying bta bla bla bla. Even if you have enough bta to last you a whole year, without working , how do you balance it up. I am repeating myself if you are not from a rich home or you don’t have money to survive here, it’s better you come with a PR so that you can live anywhere. Also note that here is not UK or other part of the world where everyone is doing social work. To even get social work job here you will go to School , if you check centennial college PSW is 17k cad above. Some peope do short courses but at the end of the day it won’t get them license.

Everything here is different, you go to school or get a license for common liquor store job, even to climb long heights you go to school to get license.

I understand your points, it’s important for people to manage expectations. But you would be fine, it’s usually like that at the begining, you are only there for couple of weeks now, by the time you settled fully you would look back and laugh. Many PR holders struggle at the beginning too. GTA is an expensive place to stay

It’s been months here, you are right about PR holders struggling from beginning but their struggle is not the same with students. It’s harder for students . A Neighbor of mine who is a PR holder from Poland is doing menial jobs here and he is a licensed doctor from Poland. But the thing is, where he works is 3 hours away from home, using TTC , he could easily get a car and go to work because he is not studying. Imagine if a student is going to a workplace 3 hours away everyday, how long can such student keep such job. Even the PR holder is also complaining because he can’t even save anything from is 3200cad a month job after paying all bills and car insurance.on the outside looking in, people won’t know how this place is until they come in! It is Better than nigeria in anything no doubt but it is way below many expectations !

It's not easy.
Just be encouraged with the fact that hard times don't last forever.

What about the possibility of getting a car and using it for uber. That way you won't need to commute 3hrs to go to work

PR is of course the best way to migrate to Canada and any other country that offers such option. . Most people are choosing studies because they can’t make it through express entry and PNPs are extremely competitive.

If you don’t mind, if you drop your no in my DM, I would give you a call. I’m In GTA at the moment.

You need to reconfirm that the payment went through and was not reversed. If you are sure, then send them evidence of payment. I guess your approval is ready, once this is confirmed you should get PPR. All the best.
