FellaG:You have spoken the truth, but unfortunately they will come for your head on this platform...!! Nigerians loves suffering and smiling and anybody that dare spoke the truth would be perceived as an enemy. |

valudong:I have lived in their Igbo states and there's nothing to write home about in terms of infrastructure. They only thing helping them is proceeds from crime home abroad. Empty vessels celebrating criminality, rubbing it on others'faces and claiming they are working hard. I will never envy an Igbo man. I am not poor but I wouldn't like to die a celebrated criminal like Evans, Clifford Orji, Obinwanne okeke all in the name of being hardworking. Igbos criminal pursuit is what they tag hardwork. Shame! |

Jostoman:Lagos state is heavily urbanized and therefore, cost of providing infrastructure is much higher. Also, the population of Akwa Ibom is quite small when compared to Lagos. However, I too believe more could still be done in Lagos if corruption is minimized but not as much as many imagine |

helinues:You see the problem with you guys, you indirectly support the rascality and lackadaisical attitude of the government of a particular state by hyping your own state against another even when all is not well... What happens to calling out the government if they ain't performing? well, this is why Nigeria will not and will never move forward. Because the people are suffering and smiling, they are seeing shege but they are rejoicing due to the fact someone else from another state is seeing shege pro-max...!! |

FellaG:I'm from Akwa ibom State, I schooled here till university level. The only thing our government see here as achievement is road construction. The standard of living here is very poor, unemployment is at its peak. I'm not ashamed or afraid to say this. We can't keep hiding this truth. |

I agree with you but not totally, i have one scenario that played out last year October. One engineering guy came for interview at my place of work, during the interview, he told me that he earns 20k working as a teacher. He didn't do well when it comes to the interview but because he looks a bit zealous, we decided to take him. He went for medicals and was successful, after a week he called me that he will not be joining again, the start-up salary was 78.5k and his colleagues that joined then earns 105k now. How can a full-grown man turn down 78.5k offer to remain in 20k offer. It was then that one of us told me that they are not ambitious in nature, that's why they prefer to settle for nothing. I may be wrong anyway but that single attitude off me sha. |

Aside this welcome gesture... The Nigerian government/Governors ought to look into these high unemployment rate hovering around virtually in all states.. If these are not curtailed, itz more like pouring water on stones.. Criminality and every social vices would be child's play. |

FellaG:akwa ibomite cant cough 65k to fly.... all these igbos are just pigs... its only igbo state that has not a single employment facitity in nigerian... akwa ibom and rivers has alot of companies and industries and all these industries feed all of nigeria. if Akwaibom can be selfish i for like am, all igbos in the oil and gas sector should be removed. that aircraft u entered u didnt see that its igbos, yorubas working there? not just akwaibom igbos think because u have a phone shop means u have money.. like i always say, when u ppl mature up to the stage of understanding anyhting only then can anyone take u guys serious... i stayed in enugu for 9 months and i had only pity for the poverty there... una own na to leave ur disgusting house and focus on another thing way no concern u... can we not also have pictures of roads in ur state? no but rather u will always look for what to say... biafran pigs |

FellaG:as in the myopic think is bewilderng Akwa ibom has a power plant supporting the national grid.... its everyday generation CAS 3,4,6 do research before u talk... Nigeria is struggling, but lets face the fact... what are we all doing to improve the Nigeria? what benefit is ur state adding in terms of unempoyment, contributions etc? as an igbo man, what advantage is ur tribe? what contribution? see if them never tell una, Nigeria will survive without igbos or ur lands... but this AkwaIbom u see, NIgeria cant survive witout them (the Nigerdelta areas) educate urselves |

FellaG:Pls enough! You are beginning to sound condescending and very irritating. You have made your point on the things that Akwa Ibom must improve but don't talk to it's people like that. Your choice of words are vulgar and too direct. It's unfortunate that you roped Igbos into this charade of trading words......Most Igbos in this forum didn't say anything but you dragged them into this exchange because you mentioned them and now their enemies and friends alike think they are to be blamed for your aspersions. It goes to show how people in Nigeria easily try to find their voice once they hear anything Igbo instead of attacking the you.....it is wrong. For all we know you could be from anyother tribe and not Igbo.... trying to creat discord. |

BastadThiefnubu:I thought you could behave better than that guy. You quickly fell for his bait. Have you not noticed that some people hide under topics such as this to cast aspersions and then turn to rope Igbos into it. What made you believe that guy was truly Igbo....was it because he mentioned Igbos in his writeup...? This has always been the problem with most Nigerians .....once you hear Igbo, you immediately become woke and that is wrong. This guy could be disguishing to target Igbo..... carefully check how he has been speaking and stylishly mentioning Igbos just to get you guys to start attacking them. You should be wiser than this. |

clevybrown:I'm not disputing the high rate of Unemployment, but note that ; *Lots of Akwa Ibomite are now degree holders compared to before *Good percentage of Akwa Ibomite, dont migrate to Lagos and other states as before *The Migration by Other Nigerians into Akwa Ibom *Competition amongst neighbouring states The only way Unemployment will drop it will need massive Industrialization |

FellaG:Are Igbos more hardworking than Akwaibomites? The answer is a big NO. Because wealth is less evenly distributed in the State doesn't amount to laziness. There's no work Igbos are doing that Akwaibomites aren't doing in equal capacity from Mechanic to trading to riding Keke to handwork to Olowshow and even to thief. |

UKEMY:The Governors didn't enpower the people but were more focused on physical infrastructure which in itself isn't bad but becomes bad when prolonged for 8 years. The next Governor can balance things out. |

aniekaneka:It is not about commissioning any project because it is not his money. How much did that road cost Akwaibom and what is the equivalent cost in other places. We should start asking the right questions in this country. These guys takes the citizens of this country as ignorant illiterates. What were you supposed to with the huge allocation handed down to you in the first place.. They should be showing us fresh Ideas they brought to lift people out of poverty, increase the viability of their states |

colonelwealth:Apologies to my good Igbo friends and relations...but it is sad that some of your folks can't resist the urge to always badmouth my people here. Imagine someone coming to attack Akwa Ibom people because of a rural road in Uyo. Why not attack or criticise the government and leave Akwa Ibom people out of your madness. Akwa Ibom makes enough money from oil and gas to create enough jobs for her people, regrettably this is not possible because the proceed is shared to unproductive states in Nigeria while some are stolen by the national government offficials of Nigeria in collaboration with the Western Government. There was absolutely nothing on ground when Akwa Ibom was carved out of Cross River and it was recently after the onshore/offshore dichotomy that Akwa Ibom started having access to funds to build her infrastructure in Akwa Ibom. We are not yet there but we are moving and Rome was not built in a day. Even till today, Akwa Ibom barely gets any project from the federal government unlike other states inspite being the goose that lays the golden eggs in Nigeria. When folks are criticizing Akwa Ibom, they should be considerate and not vent their frustration on the state. Oil producing territories in other climes are in control of their resources unlike Nigeria. |
