Of course you can. That was what I used too for me and my dependents. The card is very useful as am now using it to shop in the UK. You can even withdraw pounds with it from pounds ATM.

Pls those that initiated form A using GTbank In march. Have they started processing for those in march already because I haven't heard anything from them.

They changed their portal for UK booking to a new one. I did succeed in booking on the new portal. But no idea on how to pay. I’ll just transfer to the account on UKVI website. Thank you!

True. They didn't want me to carry my dry fish with me. I had to beg the guy that searched my box and he agreed on the condition that I settle him. Unfortunately for him, I didn't see him again until we were boarding and I had already given out all the naira I had on me to a random stranger since I knew the money wasnt going to be useful to me anymore( this happened last year Nov and I had the old naira note on me.

You used airmaroc or another airline?
At least if they can burgle under settlement. Then I prepare the settlement when going. It is far better than not allowed to carry the dry fish stuff or buying it in the UK at a much costlier price.

Back to your question,it depends on who is sponsoring the trip and to what degree. Is it you or them? Are you part or fully sponsoring?

The general documents will be a copy of you BRP, passport,student status letter, birth certificate,letter of invitation, if they are staying with you then evidence of accommodation,if you are sponsoring the entire trip then bank statement,payslips etc should be included.

Their own financial and home ties will still be considered by the ECO not just yours so you will need to submit same from their end. At 70 i assume they are retired and receiving pension, do they own properties? Is there family and other kids/grandkids in Nigeria? Are they involved in church activities that will need them home?. These sorts of information/documents will be useful to include.

Thank you duchess90 for your response. She's a retired Civil Servant earning pension. She doesn't own a property. I will be the one to sponsor everything. I have my accommodation contract papers, payslip from my employer, and a bank statement of about £8k (hope it's enough).
There are grand kids and other kids back in Nigeria ( how do I prove this?).

Is her pension of less than N50k monthly sufficient?
She's basically coming to take care of my wife who will give birth in few weeks time.
