Nonsense. He has no choice than to humble himself. He has no preferential treatment in prison. The prison officers decide when he will sleep, when he wakes up, what he eat, when to come out of his room. His toilet is in the same room he eats with his room mate looking at his balls. So he is reduced to nothing. If he fumble he will.be bang up for 24 hrs without see the sun.

The Bible is worthless if you don't apply what it teaches.

His greed was simply too much. The whole organ harvesting has the strong stench of sleaze hovering around it.

Fools!

Ekweremadu should be there and serve his full sentence.

He was opposed to Obi’s ambition. Now he will be in prison throughout 8 years of Obi’s tenure as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He's teaching them English in their own country? Wonderful!

This reminds me of something I was thinking the other day:

Even if white people throw their hands up in the air and say "Africans come and colonize me" it turns out that we won't be able to do that because we don't have anything to colonize them.

White people and their contradictions.
I prefer corrupt people be jailed for corruption not with a controversial law

If you won't agree that an adult can willfully give his kidney in exchange for settlement then convincing me that homosexuality is permitted on ground of 'adults consent' is farfetched.

Buying organs raises a serious moral question but can hardly be stopped legally, provided it involves adults with no deception and COERCIVENESS .
Once there is a law in place that forbids it, if you still want to get involved, just make sure that you are not caught. Stop making silly argument

am not holding fort for Ekweremadu, but he is a busy politician, very plausible he never met the boy, nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong in him contracting a doctor to get him a donor for his daughter for heavens sake he is not a medical doctor hence he can't know who can be of a match to the "man" let's stop calling someone going to his 30s a boy please, I honestly see nothing wrong in what he did, it could have happened to any concern father, only thing I found wrong in the whole story is seizing the boy passport,if that is true tho.

I don't like Ekweremadu for anything, however I kept shaking my head reading comments here. Nigerians are the worst hypocrites on Earth. 95% of these people condemning Ekweremadu would have done same if they were in his shoe. He did what every good father would do for his daughter. Maybe he made mistakes along the line, but continuously insulting him and his family over this and wishing them more evil is really wicked.

buying human organ is frown on anywhere in the world for even transplant, but still getting a "willing" donor is the work of the doctor, not the Ekweremadus, how they get donors is usually left for them to handle plus they don't do it for free, even in the case of a free donor, they still charge money for it, but like you rightly said if he personally or indirectly approach the boy and paid money for his organ, then he has no case.
My point is with a very good lawyer in am Appeal Ekweremadus might be freed even in the UK, it all depends on how the lawyer present his or her case, no matter how air tight or confession they might have got from him... With a good lawyer he might get out, the Doctor is the real culprit here, imagine the hungry doctor collecting just 5 million naira from a Nigerian Ex Deputy senate President, who is still a senator, and giving just 650k to the donor, the doctor should be hanged.

It was the doctor and his psychopathic tendency that caused the whole thing but the Ekweremadus “big man with even bigger God” mentality enabled him to behave like that.

A learned scholar, a seasoned politician, an experienced lawyer who even endorsed the Anti-slavery bill for Christ’s sake. He should have been the first to understand the optics surrounding such act.

If they were so innocent, how did they allow themselves get mixed up with such a dubious character as the low-life doctor who also scammed another poor soul out of a kidney?

That is what the judge explained to them when he sentenced the wife. He said he doesn’t accept that they didn’t have a hand in it. its only due to human compassion that the daughter was not also jailed because it is so obvious that she was involved in the plan.

Has he admitted so and apologized? It is on record that he kept denying his guilt until the Jury, acting on glaring evidence found him guilty and he was duly sentenced by the Judge who had so much not commendable to say about him.

Laws can be questioned too. British colonialists had anti gay laws. Today, same whites are gay right champions.

Many states in US jailed people for possessing marijuana. Today, it's now being approved for recreational use. What changed?

Sometimes laws reflect spur of the moment instead of answering moral questions.

Common sense questions such; Dimwits fight to keep them.

your last statement... That's why there is reasonable doubt, if there is no recordings, video, audio or written one tying them to the crime directly, a good lawyer should get them out jailing the daughter would av thrown the British law upside down, she is a patient for heavens sake.. No way would she be in the capacity to make such a decision.. Am not a fan of the man.. My own is it could av happened to anyone that delegates duties to others.
