I beg to disagree sir. If you remove church from Naija, two things will happen in rapid succesion.

Firstly is that charlatans hiding under the guise of being church leaders, of which there are many, will have to start working for a living.

I am afraid you are wrong! Religion is largely to blame for robbing Nigerians of their ability to critically reason their condition and the general state of Nigerian society as a whole. You remove religion and re-introduce dependence on individual ability to reason, you will see wonders begin to happen among Nigerians right there in Nigeria.

And I mean every Religion — Islam, Christianity, Judaism. Hinduism... all the organized -isms. I am ofcourse against stopping their freedoms but I believe it is time they are all taxed at least under the same bracket as other social businesses.The revenue generated could at least do wonders when pumped effectively into the education system.

These pastors wouldn't want church to be removed from Nigeria because Church is their major source of income! And this is where the problem is: the concept of miracles that the church preaches and emphasizes is making almost everyone becoming very lazy. Meanwhile, the whole idea about miracle is to keep people coming to church to pay their dues in terms of offerings & tithes! Church is a problem in Nigeria! If removed things would get better for our people! Islam is also a very big problem in Nigeria if it can be removed things would get better too!

Imagine a Nigeria that jobs awaits graduates, who would pray for job or sow seed to get a miracle job? If Nigeria health system is working 100% would would be crying when their relative go to the hospital for heath related issue like it is a dead sentence. Thugs aren't in the street etc. Nigeria no working is 40% as a result of churches feeding dat from the system. When Nigeria starts working like China or US. so many church's will become empty and prayer points will reduce drastically.. 90% of prayer points of an average Nigerian are suppose to be provided by the goverment... Please remove this mindset, church or no church Nigeria would grow and prosper.

During COVID 19 Pandemic, church was almost completely off the daily routine of everybody. The people who collapsed were pastors who found it very hard to meet up then.
