Another Container carrying articulated truck has fallen on a saloon car in Lagos. Eye witness accounts say there are zero survivors.

Dr. Olawale Ogunlana gave an update on the accident:

I escaped this by a hair for just a few seconds, then drove by it. We were gestured that no life was lost, the car owner escaped. We need to do something about these trailers before they kill us all.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Incidence like this are the reasons for some enactments. I'm expecting legislation in respect of precautionary measures against similar incidents.

Why are these containers merely mounted without actually fastening them on the trucks?

The report says "zero survivors".

But the screenshot above says, no life was lost.

Which do we believe?

I guess this is not a problem to the useless Nigerian Legislative government, that is why they have not enacted a law banning trailers movement in the day, or banning trailers entirely. It this not a clear environment hazard, or how many accidents before it is an issue. angry

If it is too sponsor useless bills like electoral amendment, banning of protest, banning Nigerian doctors from leaving the country, that is where we will see Nigerian Senate.

Anyways, I doubt the citizens themselves really care.

Hmmm. This is why I always avoid trailers when on the road. Thank God no life was lost.

From the image, it seems the the whole truck was upturned, not just the container.
The problem with laws in Nigeria is that they are seldom obeyed, most especially by those with 'connections'.

Nigeria needs rail transportation to curb this menace. It's becoming worrisome.

So?
The impact of the container only is enough for any damage
