My People! I greet una. I'd like us to share the main factors that make you like or dislike the Redmi Note 12 series? It would be fantastic to share your thoughts on the key aspects, such as design, performance, camera quality, battery life, software experience, and any other factors that influence your opinion since using the device.
It seems they are some official eyes now keeping track on Nairaland. Over to you my people.

See that idea of bringing only Mediatek phones to Nigeria, they should perish it

Long Term user, but NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER BUY A MEDIATEK Phone from them, no matter how much hype or performance they claim.

Share your insight, what's wrong with mediatek powered phones?

For those of us using the swipe gesture instead of the conventional gesture settings mode... The recent Xaomi software update had been utter nonsense on Redmi 10c.

The swipe up to minimise function has been acting up, you will have to lock and unlock device almost all the time for it to work.

Wait oooo. Only Mediatek. I am totally lost. I entered a store at Ikeja and they kept saying Mi12 has an 8th Gen Processor.

Really? I'm not experiencing anything of such on my Redmi 10 C. I'm on MIUI 13.0.6 Global.

I find this very strange to be honest. I'm not sure what's really wrong with yours. Have you tried maybe disabling the settings and re-enable it?
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Calibrator: 10:00am On May 19, 2023
Already did that multiple times.

The phone is very good but I just don't know what is wrong with that particular function.

I just went to unhide full screen indicator now to see if it will go back to normal without glitches.

I've used redmi 7 and redmi 3 and I'd have to say that redmi note 12 is by far the worst phone I've ever used.
Apart from the physical design, it fails in almost every other metric.
The one wey dey pain me pass be say apps in the background will close in less than five minutes. Even when I was using 1gb ram Tecno, I never experienced such

If only they didn't treat Nigerians the way they did by selling a very watered down version of the Redmi note 12 instead of the one with snapdragon 4 Gen 1. They should stop such sharp practices if they really want to remain relevant. One cannot even recommend the note 12 for a note 9s user.

The entire phone industry except apple de look down on Africa, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo and Samsung usually send superior variants of their latest device to Eu and other dope markets while they send the watered down variants to Africa, what's even funny is either they think we're less tech savy or too poor to afford the more expensive variants. Same Africa wey dey buy the latest iphone and ipads and even MacBooks like it's nothing.

My grouse with the RN12 series are the 4G variants. The RN12 Pro 4G and RN12s shouldn't be in existence.

Same with the Redmi A series they keep shoving our throats since last year.
