Yoruba state capitals that are dirty with brown roof tops are claiming clean cities.
Abeakuta is ugly
Akure is worst and should be competing with lokoja and the almighty osogbo which is by far the smelliest.
You guys should visit places like Jos, kaduna Kano bauchi and lafia

You're an absolute idiot. People from every region are adding Owerri to the list but you, being a tribalistic bastard, have to add tribalism and foolishness to the post.

I live in Owerri and I spend at least 1 week every month in port harcourt. Owerri is better, just that things, especially foodstuff, are more expensive in Owerri than in port harcourt

In bold: what made things in Owerri more expensive than in Portharcourt is the migration of people from Orlu and Okigwe zones to Owerri where modern development infrastructures in Imo state exist, as allowed by govs and Owerri people.
Other once developing cities - Orlu and Okigwe - in Imo State are crumbling because no governor of Imo state came from any of the two areas since 2007. Govs since then build broad road crossing their village and retire to demolishing and reconstruction in Owerri.

Consequently, concrete blocks of houses rise in nearly all the once rural areas in Owerri senatorial district, and form Ghettos without modern development infrastructures. Some of the ghettos don't even have an access road, not to talk about modern development infrastructures.
The gain of Owerri natives is sell land at exorbitant rates. They continue with blackmail on every governor to put infrastructures only in Owerri area.

Your tribe prefers to be stuck within 20km of their birthplace because you're too timid to venture further. You stay in your enclave and spew crap about other regions. The few ones amongst your people who manage to let go of your inborn timidity and venture into Igboland tend to do great. I don't know where you're from, but my former landlord in Owerri is from Osun state. If he had remained in his state he wont be a landlord of a block of flats collecting 600k annual rent. He wont be building another house in OWerri now.

Ibadan is not only more developed with more infrastructures than only Owerri but the entire SE Igboland.
The honest truth is that Lagos is the only manageable region in the entire South West, which is why every yoruba man claims Lagos.

Bhuhahahahaha! Owerri more developed than Ikeja, Port Harcourt etc. What a joke.

What infrastructures are in Owerri? Does it have transportation system like airport, BRT, train etc?

How many five star hotels, restaurants, secondary schools exit in Owerri?

How many Industries, factories, multinationals etc are in Owerri?

How many world class health care centers, hospitals etc are in Owerri?

How many highbrow areas, estates etc are in Owerri? grin

How many malls, supermarkets, grocery stores etc are in Owerri?

How many recreational centers, stadiums, golf courses, polo clubs, cinemas etc are in Owerri? grin

Ikeja comprises of Allen, Opebi, Omole, Ojodu, Maryland, GRA, Anthony, Onigbongbo, Alausa, Magodo, Ogba, Agidingbi, Oregun etc.

What about Owerri? grin

The most developed state capital in terms of infrastructures are listed in this order.

1. Ikeja
2. Port Harcourt
3. Ibadan
4. Kano
5. Kaduna
6. Enugu
7. Abeokuta
8. Jos
9. Uyo
10. Ilorin
11. Owerri

Nice list.
..
But when last did you visit kaduna? I'm not even a northerner but bro, after portharcourt, it should be kaduna.

Kano is dirty and roads are unplanned, clustered and dull. Thank you

E even say Ikeja small means you no know anything. grin

I have been to Port Harcourt more than 50 times. grin

Yes, it is bigger than Ikeja. Has more flyovers than Ikeja but Ikeja is more developed. The reason you can't show me the brt system, railway and light rail in Port Harcourt. Ikeja is more developed than Port Harcourt. Fact.
