not really. What I have always done is to do the welding part and the client will add the wood top whenever he starts furnishings

A certain welder told me that I'd have to shine it with vanish, otherwise it would gather dust quickly or get stained easily with mortar during tiling, but thing is I don't want a glossy finish.

What if the door is initially coated with only red oxide paint before installation, and then the final matte black coating is done after tiling OR the matte black coated door is taped off with nylon/paper before doing any mortar job?
