Another area I will need advice is about my account. As a business owner I don't pay myself salary but only deposit funds whenever I want to as I make returns. Please may I know if this will pose any problem as I intend submitting my application soon?

Good morning gurus in the house, please I need to know my chance of getting a 2years Visa. I run my personal business registered with CAC for close to 2 yrs now. Must I include a tax clearance receipt in my application? Also I was denied UK Student Visa in 2009 do I need to indicate that as it is over 10 year? Or better still can someone help with what and what I will be attaching to get a better chance.

My only advice is to please declare that you had been refused visa in the past, state why. They like honesty. If you leave out this information it may lead to them banning you for 10yrs.
Regarding your business account, please open a personal account then pay yourself a monthly salary from that account.

Can I invite my step mom to attend my graduation which is in July 2023?

I will sponsor her including letter of invitation and my banks statement.

She is a civil servant.

What are the Likely documents needed?

How much should be in my account?

How long will the money be in my account?

Alternatively you can provide me link that answers my questions. Thanks all

Visa alert!

10 years visit visa granted to me, my kids and my cousin (she has been living with me for 9yrs)
I am a single mother btw.
Current visa is 2 years and will expire end of July 2023 but traveling for summer so had to apply early.

12th May : online application
15th May : Biometrics (paid for prime time and keep my passport option)
22nd May: call from UKVI to submit our passports at TLS. Submitted same day as my office is close and I’ve had the passports in my car since 15th.
23rd May: TLS email for passport collection. Quickly rushed there and picked them up.
10yrs visa granted for all of us.

I work for the government and salary is less than 150k after tax.
Submitted 6 months salary account statement with balance of less than 800k
Dollar account of about 6000usd but transaction of over 40k usd in 3 months.
Employment letter and staff ID card
Accommodation booking
That’s all for myself.

For my 3 kids
Birth certificates
Consent Letter from their father
2023/24 school fees receipt (I pay per annum not termly)
Result sheet from school showing their grades
Accommodation booking
Submitted same account statements for 3 of them.

For my 19yr old cousin
Added our family picture from 9yrs ago when she started living with me
Added our pictures from numerous family vacations in other countries.
Admission letter showing she resumes university in September this year.
Her account statement (I give her 15k monthly allowance)
My account statement etc

Previous history
I have had 5 UK visas including one student visa
My kids had 2 Uk visas aside my last baby who had 1
Previous US visas and numerous trips in the last 5yrs
Unused Canada visa (aside my cousin)
I visit minimum of 2 countries yearly mostly for fun and I hardly go anywhere without my kids

I hope this helps someone

No, went from 2years to 10. Was skeptical though but read that it’s possible as long as your documentations are firm.

Haha thanks. I don’t need their permanent residency o. Yes you can. I did and had no problems. I guess as long as your travel date falls outside the visa validity period. Mine expires July 27, travel date august 9th

This is actually part of the reasons I decided to give full details on my visa because I went through a lot of stress trying to find information online about this yet no actual information.

PLEASE I need advice not insult. Thank you in ADVANCE. I've been in the UK with this care visa work for seven months without my sponsor agency giving me work. Now I've been able to get work at a very far place outside London which I go to by entering train 5am while returning by 9 to 10pm. I cannot relocate to the place because I'm currently been accommodated by someone. Going to work is almost costing an arm and leg as I've not been paid till month end. Someone told me to be buying under age ticket rather than normal one. My main question is not the fine as life is risk BUT if caught, CAN IT AFFECT ILR IN 5 YEARS TIME?

This is not professional advice.
This is an act of dishonesty. If dishonesty/questionable character is in the rules now or the future against who can get ILR or not then you would be falling short. However seek professional guidance pls.
Feel free to read up the below link as I know sooner than soon you will be caught. Penny wise, pound foolish.

How long do you travel daily?

You can be prosecuted for this. And apart from paying a heavy fine, you will be enlisted as an offender, as a convict. This is not good at all.

I will suggest. See if there are rail cards you qualify for. On the last working day of the week you can try coming back by road.

Ticketing is secondary to what could affect your ILR.
What you should worry about, if you treat that or take care of that you shouldn't have any worries about tickets.
Under the rules of skilled worker visa, your sponsor should assign you work hours at least approx. 37-40hrd per week(i.e you should have a full-time job with them, your chunk work hours should come from the company that has sponsored you).
However if these were not to be the case then the law permits you to switch to a new employer and update your records/visa as will be applicable with the home office. Thus if the current place where you travel to are willing to offer you a sponsorship, it would serve you a better deal, health wise and financially to relocate to London.

That you and your employer have chosen to abuse your visa, pending results are that, sooner or later you will become physically and mentally drained, that you under perform at work, posing risk to yourself, other workers and services users.

These and more don't or will not only affect your ILR but could see you being given 60days to leave the UK if the Home office gets a tip off.

If you applied for a 10yrs validity it will take like 3 months to be dispatched to you. But if it’s a 5 yrs validity passport, you supposed to get it within 2 to 3 weeks. I did mine last year and it’s 2 weeks I received it, 5yrs though

allow me to say. .. you have travel history with the UK and previous positive visa history in the past so you can’t be used as a yardstick especially by those applying for the 1st time. They should be thorough in making their applications.
No application is same… and I agree that tax documents not mandatory

Have you done your biometrics? If not, I strongly advise you cancel that application and redo it. I know a few people here that was handed a 10yrs ban because they didn’t declare their previous visa refusal.
I wish you the best

Hello everyone, pls I'm new here and I have a question about ECCTIS.
I'm about to request for Medium of Instruction letter from my University so I can submit to ECCTIS. Pls can the MOI letter be addressed to "To whom it may concern" (will it be acceptable by ECCTIS if not addressed to them directly?) so that I can probably use it again in the future if need be. I saw sample of the letter on ECCTIS website and it was To whom it may concern, but I noticed that was posted 7years ago. Pls has anyone done this before?
