FreeStuffsNG: Dangote is a nice man who’s benefiting from Buhari’s terrible policies that have pitched him above the rest. Cement used to be around 1500 for a bag, when Ibeto, as well as other options were available, before FG’s reckless ban of sensitive imports. Dangote afterwards monopolized that circle and we saw a how the cost had doubled up to 5k after then, despite being produced locally. If North had a coastal state, that refinery won’t be in Lagos. Fossil fuel is gonna still be in demand for at least the next 50 years, so researchers say but I don’t expect Dangote to be familiar with the idea that the world is going green. This is Dangote’s refinery , yeah, not Nigeria’s… See as Buhari just jump fiam reach Lagos to cut ribbon. While Nigeria’s own worn out refineries are waiting on the lord. Dangote don try. At least employment opportunities go emerge for some people. I just wish FG gave Innoson this same grace and leverage. A technology driven Nigeria for be a game changer. Good luck to Aliko. Shame on the FG. |

honeyB2018: Lagos is not treating non indigene in any bad way, sw generally is accommodating to non indigene and foreigners, lagos alone has the highest number of foreigners and non indigene . there are non indigene holding political position in lagos same as in civil service!! highest in any state in Nigeria. As long as non indigene do not interfere with internal politics of the state, there will be continuous harmony. buh, the moment a certain group of non indigene take upon themselves to start regarding the host state as a no mans land, and at the same time trying to impose a non desirable political candidate on the state, then they have crossed the thin line between accommodating and hostility! there are hausas, ijaw, tiv, etc and host of foreign nationals living in harmony in lagos, no one bothers them. Dangote refinery will not be in lagos today if lagos is treating non indigene badly. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If the South-West was threatening investors, no one will sell land to them. Please always be objective in your analysis. Do not let the Obi or the last election becloud your judgment sir. |

Fembleez1: You are the one beclouded by sentiment here. South West, is in Nigeria and bound by the constitution of Nigeria. By our constitution, every Nigerian has the right to vote and be voted for, where he or she resides. Every Nigerian, who resides in the South West, has the right to mingle with the politics of the region, just as any Yoruba man/woman,who resides outside the South West, has the right also. When you threaten Nigerians, resident in Lagos State, not to vote and ask them to go to their state of origin to vote, but you will not ask them to go to their state of origin to pay their taxes and rents, what do you call that? The fact is that you don't know that international community and investors are watching. |

This is not true. The Abam Royal House of Abam Ama Okrika released a media notice debunking this misleading statement. It was just a misunderstanding and please kindly disregard! Press Release Omega Power Ministries, OPM decision to stop their Free School and other Humanitarian Services in Okrika, a cause of misinformation and breach in communication between the Resident Pastor and the General Overseer of the Church. It is important to put the records straight on the impasse between the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries and the Abam Ama Community. In the meeting were the Chairman, Abam Royal House, Sample Orupabo, Prince Soala Tobins, Hon. Paul Abam, The representative of the GO from OPM's Headquarters, who serves as the Head of Church Planting, Growth Committee and also serves as the supervisor of Free School and Humanitarian Services, Elder Olokoh, the resident Pastor, Pst. Zubby, Elder Iyeneomi Elymas, Elder Elvis, Elder Lewis Abam, Chairman Abam Ama Land Committee, the landlord, Mr. Joel Tamuno Ayika and Amb Napoleon Jumbo Spiff. It was discovered that, the community did not stop the project, in course of putting community assets and documentation, the community was informed that, the said parcel of land was sold to the ministry, while the landlord and the Church told the community the land is on lease. The Community said it is against the community norm to sell or lease lands in Abam Ama, hence the Community called on the resident Pastor to clear with the Chairman within 7 days, so that the community and the ministry will have a clear understanding of the status of the parcel of land. The statements both from the Chairman and the resident Pastor didn't state any sort of stopping the Ministry's Programme in Okrika. We equally spoke with the GO who agreed that all the wrong insinuations placed on Social Media will be PULLED DOWN, then the Leadership of the Community, the Ministry and the Landlord will take a day to reconvene and put things in the right perspective for the smooth running of the programmes. We also got a copy of the letter written to the Ministry and the response of the GO, which does not bear any stopping of the Ministry's lofty programme in Okrika. This is to let the General Public know the true position of the OPM's Free School and Humanitarian Programmes in Okrika, that at no time was the programme stopped for any reason. It is a simple itch in communication between the resident Pastor and the GO, and a wrong signal was sent to the public which has in no small measure dented the image of Okrika in the media space. The media report is not correct. For emphasis; THE MEDIA REPORT THAT ABAM ROYAL HOUSE/OKRIKA STOPPED OPM'S FREE SCHOOL AND HUMANITARIAN PROGRAMMES IN OKRIKA IS NOT CORRECT. PROPEACE: |

honeyB2018: Yes. I know. The typical Igbo man who only interprets things to suit himself. Nobody forced you to do business in Lagos. Hence, you can go back to your state and pay taxes and rent there. You can petition the International Community and Investors to go to South East to invest. No one is stopping them. Please let go of the hatred. You have to associate with others and stop all this hatred and propaganda. We are supposed to have moved passed the 1960s, I mean as a young generation, we should be moving this country forward, but you guys are hell-bent on the hate theory. You play tribal politics amongst even people who are Igbos from other South-East states and want to Lord over people who accommodate you or where you do business. The same Tinubu you guys hate was the first person to grant you guys a seat at the House of Assembly, and so many other things he did for Igbos in Lagos that I will not talk about presently. Please, Nigeria is not like the USA where anyone can be elected to any political position irrespective of their State of Origin. Nigeria is not ripe for that sort of democracy yet, especially when you guys are calling to have a Biafra Country. I mean that agitation in itself speaks volumes. I beg you once more, let go of the hatred and arrogance you have toward other tribes. We cannot move this country forward if we are stuck in the past. Thanks and have a good night's rest. |

GeneralPula: Sometimes, you wonder if some elected people (govs) who are considered educated and wise are actually smart at all! Dangote refinery was rejected by Ondo state government, by Ogun state government and we're just hearing that it was also rejected by Rivers state government too! All of them were simply looking at their immediate gains instead of the long term benefits, they were primarily concerned about stuffing their own pockets instead of the benefits of such huge investment to their state residents. What a shame! 2 Likes |

Fembleez1: Your case is the case of a pot, calling the kettle black. I want to tell you, that apart from the Hausas, who are adventurers like the IGBOS, no tribe interacts with people like the IGBOS, which is the reason, you see the IGBOS in every nook and cranny of this nation, so it's disappointing when people like you, will tell a highly mobile tribe like the IGBOS, unlike you and your Yoruba people, who sees the nation only from the prism of your region, to learn how to interact with people. It a shame, that people like you and your Yoruba people should be telling the IGBOS of playing tribal politics, I keep wondering, if really you know your history. Check your record of politics in Nigeria after the independence, you have always been in the opposition, even from 1999, till 2015, when you introduced sectional politics that saw G. E. J out of power. Before 2015, where were the Yorubas in the national politics of Nigeria? For your information, my post was that your leaders should learn from what has happened to other regions and comport themselves in the most reasonable manner, to avoid the same mistake. People of the South East, for now are still Nigerians, and have the right, to reside anywhere in Nigeria, vote and be voted for, without harassment from any quarters, but anyone whoso wishes can relocate, no qualms with that but not by compulsion, as you in your little mind and brain, will want people to believe. You are talking about a New Nigeria, and letting go the past misdeeds, have you ever asked yourself, if there's any attempt to address the misdemeanor of the past, to halt the agitation? You are talking about letting go the past, can there be peace without justice? IGBOS don't hate Tinubu as a person, but some of the behind the scene statements and actions, been perpetrated to look as if the IGBOS are loved, but it's a Greek gift. Did you hear what Remi Tinubu said against the IGBOS, before 2023 elections? If such could come out from her, what do you think goes on in the bedroom? IGBOS, neither hate Tinubu nor the Omoluabis of Yoruba land, but treacherous attitude of pretending to love me in the public, but hate me in the private, which is more dangerous 2023 elections in Lagos, brought out that indwelling hatred for the IGBOS. This is the point. |
Re: Refineries: How Dangote Group Was Chased Away From Rivers – Bobmanuel by Fembleez1(m): 4:43pm On May 26, 2023 |
honeyB2018: I choose to ignore your calling me a "little mind and small brain." I know you are being emotional already like every Igbo man will be. When other people are civil, you throw the insult and when people reply with the same dose, you start the blackmail game. I believe you all claim to be the most educated tribe in Nigeria but you can't converse without insult. Mehn, such an irony!!! I would have replied with whatever rocks your boat sir. But my saying still goes that do not be arrogant. A Yoruba man will never say publicly they want to take your land from you and throw your king into the Lagoon. They will never call your state NO MAN's LAND. Why would a Yoruba man want to go to where there is no love? If your region and state Governors were working, you lot will not be leaving in droves to Yoruba land. It is not by force a person must migrate out of their land. Yorubas are not like you guys. And you talk about interactions. The most accommodating people are the Yorubas because they can interact with people of various tribes but still end up minding their own business. No one pretends to love you in public than Igbos, but hate you passionately at your back. If you put 10 Yoruba people in a spot and ask them to pick between two choices. There is a likelihood you will get 60/40 or 70/30 or 50/50 results. But with 10 Igbo people in the same situation, you'll definitely get a 90/10 or 100/0 result. You keep saying we must right the injustice done to Igbos. What Injustice Do you not rever a bright mind like Prof. Soludo? He has called out to you people to stop putting all eggs in one basket. But you people will not listen. Politics is a game of strategy. You have to build alliances and negotiate for power. No one can become president in Nigeria without negotiating power with other regions. But you lot always go One party or One Candidate, 90 to 100%. And that will always fetch you nothing. If you want me to go through history with you, then you will definitely get a beating. Because I am going to educate you on the Bolded above, from 1953 till date. And I am going to let you know you Igbos and your past leaders you rever and still worship so much are the cause of what you face today. To be more blunt. You Igbos are the cause of why Nigeria is what it is today. You are the reason why you can not have the Biafra Republic. You are the reason why States are not in control of their resources. You are the reason why the Federal Government is so powerful. You are the reason why we are not practicing true Federalism or a Federal system of Government like the U.S. Please if you want me to go into history with you on that, let me know. I will look for a time to reveal the truth to you and curse the person who removed history from the Nigerian Education curriculum. On a related note, I have had good interactions with Igbos right from my whole life in Lagos, through my elementary to Secondary School, and my University. And when I stayed in Enugu while a kid and Ebonyi while I was of reason. I have had good Igbo friends and their parents who love me so much and always prefer their sons interact/roll with me. In fact, these people always come to look for me whenever I do not come around and ask my Grannies why it has been a long time since they saw me. These are the finest and the purest Igbos I have met in my life, and I do not regret still having them as friends. But the way some of you came out in the last election is trying to corrupt my good fellow when I was very in support of Obi right till the election. In fact, I clamour for Igbo presidency or that Nigeria should let you guys leave. So, sir, I will say again, let love lead. Let us raise kids in love that Nigeria is One and one day we will get it right. And let us build alliances for a better tomorrow. |

Fembleez1: What ever decision you make out of my choice of words, is your business not mine. My post initially, was advisory, especially to the people and leaders of South West, not to toe the part of destruction that other regions, including my own region have chosen. I even said that the people of my region, the South East, will reap the fruit of their action in the next 10-20yrs, showing I was liberal in my post, before your tribal sentiments came up. I'm surprised, you are accusing the people of South East, of lack of respect, full of insult, emotional and blackmailing, like I said earlier, it's another case of a pot calling a kittle black. Do I need to remind you and some of you of how disrespectful, sentimental and tribalistic that you are? You love to give to others, what you cannot take and expect from other, what you cannot give. Go to social media platforms, look at responses from a Yoruba man and judge for yourself, let me take you back to pre- 2015 elections, what kind of innuendos wasn't thrown at President G. E. J, by your people, even from those who are highly read and respected as leaders in Yoruba land. E.g Tinubu, Fashola, Bisi Akande, Olu False etc. I have live about 50% of my life in the South West, though as an Igboman, within this period, I have met very good, loving, kind and wonderful people of Yoruba extraction, who I respect till date, in my post, I called them the OMOLUABIS. God bless them, for the sake of these people, I will not cast a blind blanket on all Yorubas, just as you can say about the IGBOS, and what is the lesson here? In every society, there are different shades of people, it will be too wrong to cast everyone from a section of the society as been bad or good. Everyone, should be taken on their merit. For the sake of these Omoluabis, I tune down my tempo. I have been privileged to go round the entire South West region, by God's grace, I have never seen anywhere, an Igboman call anywhere in Yoruba land, a NO MAN'S LAND. Rather, this is just a phrase used by some Omo Eshu in Yoruba land to cast aspersions on the IGBOS, give them a bad name, to showcase their hatred for the IGBOS. I have never seen anywhere, where an Igboman, said they will throw any traditional ruler in the South West, into the Lagoon, rather it was one of your traditional rulers that threatened to throw a whole tribe, into the Lagoon, if his candidate wasn't voted for. As God will have it, what is the position of the traditional ruler and that his candidate in the politics of Lagos today? How can you say IGBOS said Yoruba land is a NO MAN'S LAND, when there are people who you buy lands from and the family issues you a receipt? The hatred some Yorubas have for the IGBOS, didn't start today, it has been an age long thing, that manifested in the last elections. I have lived here in the South West, I have moved in the midst of the people of South West, I have eaten their food, drank their water, move into their secret meetings, I can tell you for free, that the hatred is real and not imaginary, forget about the cosmetic approach out side. As a young man in the South West, I have been denied lots of things, like employment, accomodations, good pay because of my tribe, here in the South West, years before this elections, so you cannot tell me any shit about accommodating people and interactions within the South West. There's this question, that I have always asked people of the South West, which no one has answered me, this is it. If the IGBOS in Lagos are disrespectful, boastful, mingling with the Local politics hence the attacks on them, then what was the offense of the Hausa/Fulani against the Yorubas in 2003, during the era of Tinubu as governor of Lagos State, that brought about the massacre of the Hausas here in Lagos State then?, in a region that is accommodative and interacts well with other people? It then means, something is wrong somewhere. You can't be full of yourself, hatred, innuendos with other tribes and fight against anything you think that doesn't favor you and claim to be interactive and accommodating, this is the height of deceit. As per the condition that Nigeria has found itself, that has made the center more powerful than the regions, I'm at loss, as to how this can come from you. I know where you are headed. But be true to your self. What brought about the civil war and what was the Yoruba connection to it? Go do your research and be truthful to yourself with your findings. You talked about Proff. Charles Soludo. Soludo is respected Igboman and leader, but he spoke as a politician. He has contested election into been the governor of Anambra State before under PDP, ask him, why he moved to APGA this time? Why did he fail before. APGA, has been ruling Anambra State now close to 20yrs. If IGBO are not putting their eggs in one basket, how could he have won? He had a candidate before the elections, aside the popular candidate from the South East. Having spoken as a politician, we will not listen to him. If he spoke as a statesmen, we will. He had interest that couldn't be accommodated within the South East political spectrum, hence no one will hear him You talked about my governors not working hard for the development of the region, here again, I begin to look at your Sense of reasoning. For a region that lost about 3m souls, have their economy destroyed, without any practical steps taken to rebuild it till now, people are just talking about the 2nd Niger Bridge, after how many years after the end of the war? yet you can talk about it in this way. By the way, which state in the South West, can be said to be developed aside Lagos State? Are Yorubas from other states not trooping down to Lagos, for greener pastures, if your region is so developed? Despite not fighting any war and you think Yoruba land is more developed. Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti state, is like a glorified local government headquarters, I have been there. You talked about love leading. You don't understand who an Igboman is, Incase you don't know, an Igboman is a builder, hence you see them build homes away from their home, feel free with his hosts and environment. Igboman is a lover of the nation called Nigeria, but his investment in this entity called Nigeria, has never been reciprocated and encouraging, hence the agitation If you know who an Igboman is, you will understand that an Igboman is a serious competitor, who thrives on an environment, where there's a level ground. The unleveled ground upon which the Igboman is operating in this entity called Nigeria, is not giving him hope of bequeathing to his generation, a society that he call his nation, hence the agitation How do you want an Igboman, to tell his generation next, that once upon a time in Lagos State, Yoruba land, he was prevented from exercising his civic responsibility, because he was an Igboman, nothing more than that? How do you tell any Igboman, to believe in a nation, where his personal efforts and hussles and properties are destroyed in a land that is not his, because he's an Igboman, not a foreigner? These are the issue, you and your people have to address. After this, I will not respond to your post anymore, it adds no value to me. Bye. |

OceanRed: You continue to get things in the wrong way. What do you mean by not entangling in local politics and you say it's safe? Is Lagos State, not part of Nigeria? Is Lagos State, not bound by the constitution of Nigeria? Didn't the Nigerian constitution guarantees every Nigerian the right to vote and be voted for? The right to live in any part of Nigeria and be law abiding? Are their no Nigerians of Yoruba extraction, who live in the UK, USA, who contest and win elections there? Why will it be seen as an aberration in Nigeria and in South West, if a non indigene offers himself in Lagos and anywhere in Nigeria for service to a community, where he has spent more than half of his life aside the state of his origin? Just tell me that I'm not a Nigerian, so that I can understand my position. No Nigerian is for whatever reason is offering his services to anywhere in Ghana in an elective position. It's understood. He's a foreigner. When you tell me, not to mingle in the local politics, but you can canvass me to vote for you in an elections, ask me to go for my voters card, give me your campaign souvenirs, yet I can't decide who rules me, are you not calling me a foreigner and an Idiot? If you want to copy others, copy well, if you follow others follow well and not half hearted. You said Lagos has been fairly good for non indigenes, and investors, understand that investors are in categories, no matter your level, when your place of business, is constantly under attack, what do you call that? When there's constant fire out break and laws are been slammed on you from all quarters, what do you call that? Agberos, with government approval are constituting serious nuisance, what do you call that?. Have you taken a look at the containers and their nuisances on the road? What is the cause and you said it has been fair. Ok Haven't you heard of investors in Lagos State, complaining of different kinds of tax regime and harassment here and there? My post, was advisory, like I said, there, the North is reaping there own now, religion, culture, kidnapping, banditry, has taken a toll on their development. South East, is trailing behind South- South, due to insecurity. It's left to the people of South West especially Lagos State, to know who to treat non- indigenes. A careful look at investment now in the South West, is gradually shifting to Ogun State, this is what we're talking about |

honeyB2018: well said, like i said earlier on, lag has been open to non indigenes since Nigeria independence, it still does, no qualms. The recent squabble between the yoruba and indigbo in lagos was political in origin, twas due majorly to clashing of politicalinterest between the both tribes. the indigbo's choice of gubernatorial candidate was a no no for a state like Lagos. Now election is over and things are gradually returning back to normal, im sure there will be positive changes in other aspect you mentioned. peace |
