When the youths and people of Rivers and other Niger Delta areas, were flexing muscles under the name of militancy and oil, we told them, but the couldn't listen.
When the Northerners were using religion and culture to scare away investors, we said,they never listened. With all the arable land in their possession,no serious investor is looking towards that end.
The people of South East, under the guise of agitation for Biafra, are causing lots insecurity, making investment their, very difficult for big time investors. In the next 10-20 yrs, these agitators, will see the negative effect it will have on the economy of South East.
The people of Lagos State and South West, should be careful, the way,the treat non- Indigenes and potential investors. International community and investors are watching. Dangote is neither a Lagosian, nor a South Westerner, but look at the massive investment in Lagos. When you threaten non- Indigenes, you are threatening investors, no matter the class, every investor,no matter the class, has its contribution to both the IGR and employment within the region or state.
Therefore, Leaders in the South West, especially Lagos State, should be careful in their dealings with potential investors. Learn a lesson from what is happening in other regions.
Oil is been produced from the South-South, but headquarters of the multinationals are here in Lagos.

I don't think SW are hostile to investors rather it is the people in government that are always an adversity to investors because they want bribes and kickbacks that may not be reasonable and affordable to the potential investors.

This will ensure efficiency and even creation of Jobs and revenue for the government in certain areas.

Rivers and delta are one of most unfriendly places for business, I remember it was cheaper to send goods to sokoto from Lagos than to send it to rivers or delta, there own agbero get PhD from Havard, they kill at will if you don't comply and nothing will happen

Having that same issue in Akwa Ibom state where local government and communities are chasing companies away with their outrageous demands.. example is Eastern Obolo and Ikot abasi fighting over crude oil on who owns the land thereby disrupting operations... What you wrote here is rubbish.
The primary reason of settings up a business in a particular place is nearness to resources and nearness to market.

Rivers state or the Niger delta states are close to the resources but the place that is close to market in setting up the refinery is Lagos.

When the products of the refinery are ready there a seaport in Lagos,loading point for crude is also in Lagos.

When dangote setup his tomato company or when the Lagos state and kebbi went into rice farming they didn't come to Lagos..


Now to the issue of restiveness raise as reason of the movement of the refinery,since the militant have been integrated by learning trade or been paid monthly allowance the news of their restiveness has subside.
Which means the problem can be solved.You can come to my village and be making billions in the Niger delta and not investing in the community trouble must come and the Niger Deltans have no regret about youth restiveness in the area.

There is already a refinery in Rivers state,delta state and their benefits are not laudable enough to curry dangote to establish another one there.

The main benefits of the refinery is to all Nigerians I don't see while you are giving this narrative
