Thank you, @Charpell

You answered all of my questions. I did not know what an API was.
I do know that a suggestion for another vehicle paper has been raised for ride-hailing cars. (Just like Lagos State cut in with LASDRI for privately employed drivers).
When I think of the database you must hold, I know expenses are high.

Do you mean that you have scaled-back on profit? Does that mean that you would rather go equity than debt? For how long?
I will go back to read what you would be doing differently from GoMyWay.

Good luck, too. I'll keep tracking this. I'll help if I can.
We plan to raise money from investors in exchange for equity. Thank you for your concern, do you mind if i reach out to you? I'd like to know more about LASDRI with Lagos State

Good job, OP. Excellent contributions from everyone on this thread
Thank you

What's the update on this?
My apologies everyone for not giving daily updates. I was running too many tasks at once and not had the time to write.
Going forward I will try to stick to my routine of given updates

In the last 3 weeks, here are some activities I got covered to hit the ground up
1. Change the app logo and made some UI changes to the app
2. You remember logik29 who volunteered to help, I decided to hire him as the workload was much for me
3. Fixed most of the bugs and feedback from the previous release
4. Found a lawyer to give legal advice
5. Incorporated Driveinhud company

Before I proceed with my update, I would like to first give a shoutout to this lad for being instrumental on helping me build the app. I had the pleasure of working closely with him for the past 1 month and I can confidently say tha this contributions were invaluable to the progress.
He is specialized in marketing, strategy, content, copywriting, quality testing and quickly proved to be an exceptional asset.

He is very proactive, diligent, and passionate about making sure this app gets to its destination, consistently going above and beyond to help achieve our goals. I could'nt afford his service, however I could pay a monthly stipend.

Overall, I highly recommend him for any position they may be applying for.His technical expertise, strong work ethic, and collaborative approach make them a valuable asset to any organization.

In today's update, I am going to break down how I registered and incorporated Driveinhud. If you have plans to incorporate your business, this post might be useful to you.

We all know how hard it is to register a business, from the paperwork to hiring an agent to processing. Well, the good news is that all of that is in the past. With technology, you can do all that from the comfort of your home. If you have not heard of Norabase, they can help with company registration. I highly recommend them for any startup as they are very reliable, have excellent customer service, and recently raised $1 million.

When I decided to incorporate my business, I was initially overwhelmed by the prospect of dealing with the paperwork and navigating through the bureaucratic processes. However, after researching various options, I came across Norabase. It was a game-changer. Their user-friendly online platform made the registration process simple and hassle-free.

The requirements for registration are as follows:

Business Name for search: It's important to choose a unique and memorable name for your business. Thenlogu provides a search function to check the availability of the name you desire.
Means of Identification: You will need to provide a valid means of identification, such as a national ID card, driver's license, or international passport.
The cost of registration and incorporation in Nigeria is 60k. This fee covers the necessary documentation and legal processes involved in registering your company. If you have aspirations of expanding your business to the US market, Norabase can assist you in navigating the complexities of international incorporation. The cost for expanding to the US is approximately 200k, but it's advisable to confirm the exact figure with their customer support.

One of the benefits of using them is that they offer additional services to enhance your business setup. For instance, they can help you obtain a US address, which can be useful for various purposes such as market presence or shipping logistics. They also provide assistance in opening a current account for your business, simplifying financial transactions.

While the registration process was relatively smooth and convenient, it's worth noting that it took nearly two weeks for the entire process to be completed. Considering the paperwork involved and the legal requirements, this timeframe is reasonable. However, it's important to plan accordingly and be patient during the process.

Finally, on May 02, I received an email stating that my application was successful. The documents I received were:

Certificate of Incorporation: This legal document certifies that your business is officially incorporated and recognized by the appropriate authorities.
Memorandum and Articles of Association: These documents outline the internal rules and regulations of your company, including the rights and responsibilities of shareholders and directors.
Status Report: This report provides an overview of your company's registration details, including the business name, incorporation date, and other essential information.
In general, registering my app using technology saved me a lot of time and stress, and it was much cheaper than the traditional way. The convenience of being able to complete the registration process from the comfort of my home was a significant advantage.

If you are considering incorporating your business, I highly recommend exploring online platforms like Norabase and taking advantage of their streamlined processes. Embracing technology can make the journey of incorporating your business more efficient, cost-effective, and accessible to aspiring entrepreneurs.

Sincere apologies for my late reply.
LASDRI is a 'third-party' document, issued by LASG for drivers of privately or corporately owned vehicles.
You see, vehicle registration for company-owned vehicles is grouped under "commercial". As Ride-hailing cars are usually private but app/ corporately coordinated, I can predict that LASG will fall on the more tax- favoured side.

Before I begin writing my journey, I want to highlight key stages i would be discussing.

The process of launching an app from idea to profitability can be challenging and complex, but it can also be highly rewarding. Here are the key stages involved in this process:

Idea Generation: The first stage is to come up with an idea for your app. This could involve identifying a gap in the market, solving a problem, or creating a new product that people will love.

Market Research: Once you have an idea, you need to research the market to see if it's viable. This could include analyzing competitors, identifying target customers, and assessing demand.

Planning: Next, you need to plan out the details of your app, including its features, design, and development timeline. You should also consider your budget, funding options, and revenue streams.

Development: The development stage involves building your app from scratch, which can take several months or even years. You'll need to hire a team of developers, designers, and testers to bring your app to life.

Testing: Before you can launch your app, you need to thoroughly test it to ensure it's functional, user-friendly, and bug-free. This could involve conducting alpha and beta testing, as well as getting feedback from early users.

Launch: Once your app is ready, you can launch it on the app store or other platforms. This involves marketing your app to your target audience, creating a buzz, and getting early adopters to try it out.

Growth: After launch, you need to focus on growing your user base and generating revenue. This could involve optimizing your app for search engines, running paid advertising campaigns, and creating engaging content.

Profitability: Finally, you need to reach profitability, which means your revenue exceeds your expenses. This could involve experimenting with different monetization models, such as in-app purchases, subscriptions, or ads.

Launching an app from idea to profitability can be a long and challenging journey, but with hard work and determination, it's possible to create a successful and profitable app that improves people's lives.

Interesting but this is just like bolt for the middle class kind off,

I'm ready to set a driver verification office here in port Harcourt and increase awareness here in port Harcourt if we can discuss about it further.

The app isn't optimized properly, we can talk behind the scene.

So bolt and the likes are called ride hailing app, the driver will have to drive to the user's location. This is traditionally called Ridesharing.
What I am doing is people who are going the same route come together to split the cost called Carpooling.

So there is no need of verification office as all users both passengers and drivers are verified on the app, but you are right about the awareness.

Please could you share your feedback on why the app is not optimized?

yes.

I discover its strictly ridesharing where both driver and users can be verified.

For optimization, the GPS api u use isn't making use of the GPS properly because he can't pick up some location and I think people should be able to join a trip even wen verification is pending.

Another stuff that's ridiculous and may scare people is the request for BVN instead of NIN, I didn't provide my BVN after I ve uploaded my Nin so my verification fail, I think BVN issue should be relate to payment

You are right about the GPS, we are working on it
If you let the user join a trip while verification is pending will pose a serious danger, what if the verification uploaded at that time were fake, we take precaution to ensure the platform is safe from theft and kidnappers. So what we can do is to hire more hands to fasten the verification process.

For the BVN, i get you, we want to make our verification very strict. Remember Safety is our priority. If we don't ask for BVN, what stops a criminal from registering twice. Like if we ban the account they used in creating with NIN, they could create another account with their Driver Linsence

Secondly, like you mention BVN is for payments, the app has an inbuilt wallet which will be issued to a user when they complete their verification. This wallet is used for the passengers to pay trips. CBN says for every bank account will create, the BVN of the users should be required.

I hope these answers your questions, if you have more I am here to answer you
Thank you for these feedbacks

Nice, I'll reconsider the BVN.

But there' should be a way to detect double registration. Thanks in general but for credibility and users, you'll need physical office and promotion and I can help from port Harcourt when ever you're ready

Hats off to Devlight for their outstanding development of a mental health app! This app is a game changer when it comes to managing and understanding mental health. The team has done a fantastic job of creating a safe and supportive environment for users. With features like mood tracking and goal setting, it's easy to stay on top of self-care. I am truly grateful for this app!
