I will appreciate every information I can get to help make an informed decision.

Thank you for always coming through as usual

Hello Gurus in the house, please I need your help to respond to this VO's concern. I applied for my elder sister on the 22nd of April 2023 and got a rejection on the 10th of May 2023

Basis of rejection - Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated p u r p o s eof travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

I requested the GCMS and here is the note:

She had a lump sum of 8M deposited into her account from my mum as a gift, this was explained in the LOE, mother provided a notarized gift letter as well as an affidavit of relationship and support. She has about 1.2M in her mutual fund account.
Total funds in Naira is 9M for a 1-year program in NB

Total available funds after first-semester tuition is 27,000CAD
1 year of study, the remaining tuition for the second semester is about 5,000 CAD, bringing the remaining funds for living expenses to 22,000 CAD.

Please how do I address this concern for the next application?

I will appreciate your help @makano, just mellow, Frankrobbn, annon and others

Hello Gurus, I would appreciate if someone can help answer my question;

I was admitted to Fanshawe college for Jan 2024.
I just finished paying my tuition fees of almost 20kCAD
I intend to buy a GIC in July for POF and also apply for my Visa in late July.

I have a BSC in computer Engineering from Sweden but I got admitted to Fanshawe college for a PGD in Business Analysis, although I worked as a customer support representative in sweden for about 2 years after completing my BSC in Computer Engineering, but I don't have employment letter or anything to show that I actually worked as a Customer support representative here in Sweden. I currently work as a production worker in an Automotive company also in Sweden for 1.4 years, I have my work contract, payslip, employment letter from this job.

My question is;
Do you think not having my previous employment letter or payslip, etc is going to have a negative effect on my application? How can I bypass this and get a PPR

I will suggest you re-apply and address the lump sum with the evidence to back the lump sum, maybe another VO can re-treat the case.

Thank you so much for your response, what would you suggest as tenable evidence, please? My mum transferred the funds from her account and signed an affidavit stating the fund is a gift and not be refunded

Will paying the second-semester fee and maybe GIC help make the application stronger?

Hello house.

Has anyone who applied for FORM A been debited recently that didn’t add the Tax clearance certificate (TCC)?

And which bank??

I applied since February using Uba. I haven’t been debited and now I’m seeing this TCC thing as a new requirement everywhere 😫😫🤷🏼‍♂️.

I don’t even have it.
Please, try and get the TCC and upload it on your portal. Btw, UBA are atill debiting for January, last date was on the 25th, so you still need to be extra patient.

Good day everyone, I got my PPR yesterday afternoon!!! I am very grateful to everyone who helped here, when I had a question. Moving forward, I have some questions:
1. please how do I submit my passport in Lagos?
2. someone told me it isn't confirmed until the passport is returned with the visa on it. Is this true?
3. How long would passport submission and collection take?
Thank you all once again

Congratulations!

Just go to VFS in Lekki and submit your passport for the Visa.

Meanwhile drop your timeline and list the documents you provided. Someone might learn from you.

Good morning everyone,

Please I need an advice on what to do and it’s connected to a visiting visa application although I know we discuss study options here.

The application was submitted in 2021 August and got a passport request days ago. Because the initial passport applied with expires early next year, she applied for a new passport which just came out yesterday.

For sending her passport, can she send the new passport for stamping perhaps, she can get more duration or it must be the old one that was used when initially submitting the application.

Thank you

Send only your new passport. The previous passport number already reflects on the current passport. Infact, they may not even allow you submit the 2 passports.

The Issue here is you need to provide ur sister employment details to show what she do to justify how she came about the money in her account before ur mom send her the 8 million which the VO see as lump sum! They want to see if ur sister is established as she is on self sponsor

This was stated in the LOE, leave approval letter was submitted too. The only lump sum is the one from my mum. Her money is in the investment account and a letter from the financial institution was attached to the application too. The issue here is the lump sum. She also has a fashion business that has been running for a while, though not registered.

Planning to pay the balance of the tuition as well as considering a GIC, will these make the application stronger?

thank you
