It is not just about outright removal of fuel subsidy, there should be decisive measures put in place to cushion it's effects on the citizenry and economy

Useless, wicked and insensitive bunch of jokers called Leaders. The proceeds from the removal of this subsidy would be looted by Tinubu and his cronies. This economic policy is inimical and detrimental to the interests of the common Nigerians
You're enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians.

How can these people not have the slightest idea on how to solve problems? Nothing at all. Issue more license to private investors to build more refineries and give all the necessary support to operate, then no need for that word SUBSIDY. I know Dangote refinery has the capacity but allow 5 other companies to come in that way their will be no monopoly and then we are good to go.

Removal is already a foregone conclusion...!

However, cushioning and palliatives should have been put in place long before now!

So if #413 borrowed from the CBN was not paid, are they indirectly telling Tinubu to probe Buhari? Bunch of jokers.

Many many companies got refinery license already, but they refused to build anything.

I seriously hope that the so-called 'palliatives' will reach the masses they are meant for.

giving palliative doesn't make sense rather its avenue to loot, let them make sure other refineries are working and that's doable.

If this subsidy removal is reversed then Tinubu is bound to fail and Nigerian economy will be almost useless.

The removal of subsidy is good but its implementation is ill-timed. The government should have put some palliatives on ground before the removal.
How will the masses cope with the astronomical increase from 198 to 500?
The politicians will have the gains but the masses will bear the untold hardship and pains?

How are we even sure the money will now be spent on education and health?
How can you and I cope in the face of the aftereffects of the sudden subsidy removal?
If the subsidy removal will make life difficult for the masses , let the subsidy continue for now.

The government should lay ground for the subsidy removal by planing well before the implementation.Enough of the untold hardship on the masses.
I stand with the masses on this matter and implore the government to stop this fire-brigade approach to subsidy removal.

Procurement of CNG Busses as an alternative Transport System with Cheaper Fuel Consumption, as well as introduce intermodal, regional and national transport system to ease mass movement of people across the country.

Is Transportation the only way to cushion the effect of subsidy removal? No provision for 24/7 power supply and some people are supporting and defending the indefensible. No one is saying subsidy should remain forever but no sustainable measures are on ground yet we're being told that subsidy is gone...just like that

They were borrowing to fund the subsidy.
They were borrowing to fund their pockets
They were borrowing to share Amongs themselves

Some politicians in Nigeria are richer than the entire country.

The $800m they borrowed they said was for subsidy palliative, Did anyone hear about it again?

The money they would get from the subsidy removal will still be shared amongst themselves.
Re: House Of Reps Calls For Outright Removal Of Subsidies by Donbabaj: 8:21pm On Jun 02, 2023
The House of rep sounded as if it is only the Transport system the removal of subsidy will affect!

Whether subsidy is removed or not. If corruption still persist, na same thing e go be. In fact it would be worst that when government was paying subsidy. The government should use the available funds for now to try fix basic amenities first. What about all those Abacha looted Swiss funds that was recovered? where are they?

Government that is quick to pass bill for their largesse salaries and benefits, fleet of cars, and the likes but slow to pass bill for increment in Minimum wage for its workers.
