Prof.Enoch, I have this Firman, generating set, sp3000, manual start. I bought it for about a year now. I have not taken it to a repairer once, although I have changed The VAR once. The gen. has started consuming too much engine oil. The situation is so bad, I have to be toping the oil every morning before I can use it otherwise it wwill go off. please, what could be wrong, what should I do ?

My generator is burning oil as the engine oil always short. I called a repairer he said I need to buy half engine (35k) that if I rinse the engine that it is 50 : 50 chance it will work that it might take sometime before it start burning again. He said if it's rinsing that I want to do that I will buy Piston, Centre Package and Connecting Rod.



Get a half engine...that's the price now.

Should I rinse it by buying the Piston, Centre Package and Connecting Rod give or take how long will it last me so I could work on the budget for the half engine and what great brand of half engine will you recommend

Rinsing it can't take u up to 2weeks if u using it every day, but half engine will last up to 3month

First one is Sumec fireman eco 4990es 3kva it was used for 6months Comfirmed and it goes for 160k, The second one is RD3910es 2.5kva its new like few weeks old the person is also selling for 160k.
Which one should I go for, Again are the prices okay? Or should I save up and get new gen
from the market instead.

Dude locate a Haier Thermocool store close to you and buy a brand new Tec Bobo 2.5kva with that ₦160k or less sef....

With 160k you can get a new gen 2.5kva. No point buying a used Gen when your cash can get you a new one.

Both are 3.3 and 3.5kva respectively. What you should worry about is if they are even original. Why are they selling that cheap because getting a new one is well above 220k. If you can get someone to check for the authenticity of either then it's a very good bargain.

Is it safe to connect my 5000w century stabilizer to the wall outlet, then connect AVS 30amps to it before connecting my LG Dual Inverter 1.5hp AC to the AVS?

The AVS doesn't delay enough for my liking. Usually just two or three seconds. It's a D Marc AVS

So I pin dawn the eco 4990es 3kva, I will go and check the gen thoroughly with a good mechanic on Saturday
I have a guarantee of full refund if I find out anything
The new one is 265k from sumec store but other persons sell above that price
I wanted to get new hustler 3.7kva but the price is 280 to 300k.
