Do we have any capital preserving dollar fund?
Also I am considering Stanbic, fbnquest and ARM.
Do they compound or recapitalize daily, weekly or monthly?
Any advise will do.

Dollar funds has eurobonds as the underlying asset hence your capital is not guaranteed as it's with money market fund.

However, it's a good hedge against inflation with a long term in view.

You can come over to stanbic MMF where you have monthly reinvestment of accrued interest.

To start, click the link on my signature and register.
As you click, pick money market fund and click buy now. Choose tier 3 as against tier1.
Teir 3 has no limit while tier 1 is limited such that you can not have investment beyond 200k in your account or top up with more than 20k at a time.

Call or chat me if you need more clarification.

This is the best time to key into money market fund. Years back MMF was a big deal in advanced countries as it provided high profit with low risk. Today MMF in advanced countries have dropped interest rates to as low as 2% or less. Those who were waiting for the rates to increase have suffered loss in their asset from inflation.

If Nigeria gets things right, the trend would be for our MMF interest rates to drop, meaning getting more education in managing your funds from the volatility of the proper stock market or being at the mercy of financial advisers, many who's major objective is to get a share of your money.

What I do personally is invest in MMF with about quarter of my disposable fund, which I hope to beef up and invest the others heavily in the stock market, as that where the real possibilities lies.

Kindly use my link if you consider using Stanbic asset management. I consider among the very best for the past decade. Thanks to those who have used my referral link in the past.

Start Now!

In 19 days' time, half a year will be gone; that will be 365days/2 or 12months/2 any way you count, it's very certain
we will be having the second half of the year kicking off.

Are you still waiting for a suitable time to invest? the right price of the stock to buy? dollar price to be up or down or for inflation to go down?

Wait no more! your cash is losing more value while staying idle. Start now and invest in mutual funds (MM or Fixed income), stocks, or real estate. You can never go wrong in the long run with the power of compound interest irrespective of the inflation rate. Just start something and you will be happy by year-end and beyond.

Click the link on my signature to start investing in MMF, Fixed income fund, or stocks.

Call/chat if you need more input.

MUTUAL FUNDS

As @sgtponzihater1 advised you can check my previous posts to get more on the subject.

In the meanwhile, check a summary below:

Simply put mutual fund is a pull of funds(money) from different investors which is managed by professionals - fund managers who in turn invest the money into assets as described by the type of mutual funds:

Types of mutual funds:
Money market fund
Fixed income/bond fund
Equity fund,
Balance fund etc

So fixed income fund is a type of mutual fund.

The first two are low risk and the others are riskier.
The level of risk of mutual funds depends on the underlying assets

A money market fund basically has treasury bills and commercial papers as the underlying asset

Fixed income/Bond fund has the FGN bond, and some money market instruments as underlying assets

Others like the balance fund have equities/stocks together with other money market instruments while equity funds are purely equity-based.
As a newcomer, I will recommend money market and fixed-income funds by the time you gain more confidence you could add others that are riskier.

One major advantage of mutual funds investment is that you have professionals who manage your investment.

Money market and fixed income funds rates are valued daily but that of fixed income is less volatile in terms of frequency of change.

To come on board Stanbic money market fund 10.26% and SFS fixed income fund 11% just click the link on my signature to register and start investing.
As pointed out earlier you can as well reach out to me with my displayed contact.

I wish you a fruitful investment journey.

Yes, interest accrues every day including weekends and public holidays on your current capital.
However, any new deposit made during weekends or public holidays starts to enjoy interest from the next working day.

Ok, maybe I didn't get him. I thought he said 'any new deposit made' but in my case I didn't make any new deposit.
Ok will check again tomorrow morning. I've not really understood how the whole thing works

Oh okay. Yes as @sgtponzihater1 pointed out, you don't need to ring them everything will be updated tomorrow.

Please note for MMF, interest is earned daily but maybe because of one reason or another which could be technical or otherwise; your earnings may not be posted that doesn't mean you have lost your interest. The arrears will definitely be posted. No cheating, earning interest on your capital is automated.

Again all accrued interests during weekends and public holidays will always be posted on the next business day even though it has been earned two or three days earlier.

Hope we are all keeping well? It's been massive quiet out here.

Before you spend on non essentials, think of it as an opportunity cost, and how you delay freedom in the end by spending today what could be seeds for your future. My reason for investing is not for riches and wealth per say, but for freedom from the rat race. In that race you can become a bigger rat, but remain a rat.

Waking up early to meet up a business, joining early morning traffic to get to work as quickly as possible start taking a tole on most people as they age. Freedom means you can live life at your own terms and at your own pace.

The investors lifecycle is a fascinating mental chart and keeps sticking with me on this journey. Knowing where you are in the cycle provides massive boost on your way to becoming.

Keep more than you spend, and give more than you take.

We must all be rich

No more with FBN but can attempt.

Total invested is total money you have put in

Current value is amount your money has build up to with interest.

Pls go to their website and you should be able to get most information you seek. Alternatively you can use the link on my bio and scroll to MMF.

Your capital is preserved, so you can withdraw anytime. You can also withdraw funds as much as the u want, though this defeats the aim of opening an MMF in the first place.
Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 7:54pm On Jun 18, 2023
Some ways MMF can be useful

1. A safe way to keep cash with capital guaranteed
2. Sure interest even though with a low rate
3. Saving for targeted item or project
4. Emergency fund
5. Acting as collateral for loans (asset banked loan)
6. Proof of funds for embassies
