Lagos No-man's-land Law: An Exercise In Futility by Armaggedon: 2:52pm On Jun 07, 2023
I just heard some politicians in the Lagos house of assembly planning to enact laws to "protect the indigenes"
We all know the true reason behind this and this reason makes such law impossible the more.

For instance, no law can treat a southwesterner resident in Lagos differently from someone from the SE/SS or Northerner.

Any law protecting Lagos indigenes, protects them also from non indegenes of southwest origin.

No law can stop people from coming to Lagos, living and doing business there, no matter how emotional, tribalistic and insecure the law makers are. Provided Nigeria is still one country, freedom of movement and of ownership of properties apply everywhere.

No law can force people in Lagos to speak a particular language.

No law can stop land transactions among individuals.

No law can take away people's properties.

No law in the state assembly can restrict contest of positions in Lagos state to indigenes. If it ever happens, the law makers and the governor themselves will lose their positions.

The best they can end up doing is to speak Yoruba language in the LSHA.

There is no substitute for hardwork.

This is just an attempt to keep their frustrated, angry and poor mobs loyal by firing 🔥 them up with anti Igbo sentiment which is not workable in reality.

Ignorance

Ordinary LASU you pay lower if you have Lagos Indegenship form from you LGA

Same thing in all Oyo State schools from Lautech to Poly

Now imagine if such were replecated in allocating Computer Village shops, Ladipo Market and Other Market

Imagine if Promotion and recruitment in Public service is strictly due to Indegenship

Imagine if Cof O of lands are not issued to ibos and indegeneous people reclaim their land like dolphin estate

grin grin grin Is this one suppossed to be a threat or what? Do states in the SW have a monopoly over making laws for their states? Can they stop Delta.,Anambra,Bayelsa or Enugu from making their own laws.

BTW how many non-indigenes stay in Ekiti ,Ondo or Osun?

Stop the ranting, your region abi states can also replicate the same.

Relocate back to your region if you are not comfortable with the new law.

Exactly!!! Once Lagos is done with their own laws.Other 35 states will follow suit,My only fear is that in the ensuing melee poor states like Ekiti and Osun might not be able to pay their workers.

Op, be calming down, na grin

Shebi, you guys claim that lagos is no man's land but when lagos decides to protect its citizen, you start to foam in the mouth like a dog infected with rabies, about some constitution.

Relax, you ain't seen nothing yet. I predicted this state of affairs in lagos, years ago when I opined that in due course, igbos will eventually climb their trees beyond its leaves. This is just the beginning.............

Ekiti and Osun have poverty rate of less than 20%

Ebonyi has over 60% poverty rate

You can never see Ekiti and Osun migrate to SouthEast but come and see your people under the sun Hawking
