I think 40 bags should be average.. you can see less or above, depend on weather and skills.

What kind of weather is more likely to favour production sir?

Please, can NPK be applied to cucumber two weeks after planting? I didnt use organic manure before planting. Though few, for backyard gardening. Thanks

You can use any contact herbicide but endeavour to do control spray with spray guard

Like 3 days after germination if they had a good amount of sunlight

((((My Okro project is finally done today. I am indeed grateful to God for it was a successful one. I learnt a lot through the process and as a matter of fact I will be downsizing next time just to manage better. Also due to large acreage being used we need extra hands on harvesting days in which those women are trying to suck us dry due to the fact that they know we can’t harvest alone. A basket was being harvested for 500naira and transportation to and fro was on us. Thank you all for sticking around. God bless all your legit endeavors)))

This is a statement from one of our farmer here on nairaland.
2+2 might not always give you 4 in agric, you can't downplay the importance of organic growth in agric. That is why you see many abandoned massive agric project.
But if you have more than enough cash, it is better you invest not more that 20% of it so as to have something to fall back to, then have a mentor with a successful farm record that is ready for consultation because what we see online here are just the basics of agric

I am planning to do my first cucumber seedling tomorrow and I am honestly feeling lazy ahead about the transplantating...and it really got me thinking if it's worth doing or I should plant it directly into the soil...I want to plant 3 sachet of greengo.

Pls senior men that have done both direct planting and using of seed trays...is it worth the stress?

Transplanting of cukes is a bit more technical than that of tomatoes because cukes are younger and fragile when transplanted. Just like opined above, I'll suggest direct seeding and spraying of heavy concentrations of insecticide around the boundaries for the first 1week to ward off rodents and insects. You can also nurse some seeds in seedtrays concomitantly for gapping up to replace unsprouted hills.

I never and will (direct plant) never try it, too risky! During dry season I understand but raining season angry if you plant and there is back to back rain ( like three consecutive rain) how many do you think will germinate? Cucumber, melon and water melon do not like too much rain for germination unlike maize e.t.c between I sold 9k yesterday

Even at that... You have to use a larger quantity of it compared to poultry manure.

I believe with use of mulch, weed may not be an issue

I just thought I'd confirm sir.

Please how times did you harvest this particular farm?

I just did my second harvest yesterday. 12 bags so far. We're still on

FarmTech:

.
I finally counted them. 1005 plants and I got about 51 bags. How about yours. Let's compare yield.
