I have experience in web design and development, graphic design, digital marketing...

Though, it has been long I did those gigs last because of my business, but now I want to go back into it.
Which one will you advice me to do, since you said they are not entry level jobs.

Note: I will be looking for remote jobs or work on my own only, when I fully gain the necessary experience.
I have a degree in science field but not computer science, I also have a good PC(one with graphics card).

And it will shock you to know that WannaCry was coded by Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi, always research before you comment. Finally I want you to know that the IBM X-force team are hackers without certificate or degree in computer science.

1.) To code a Malware as Wannacry, you have to understand the concepts of Ring3 or Ring0 rootkits
2.) To understand concepts of Ring 0 or Ring 3, you have to understand Reverse Engineering
3.) To understand Reverse engineering, you need to understand the concepts , analysis of executables (.exe or DLL) as those are the methods used in delivering Payload.
4.) To deliver Payload you have to understand DLL injection (CreateRemoteThread, or SetWindowsHookEx) or injecting your opcode into the executable in order for it to run
5.) To do step 4, you need to understand C / C++, NASM, or Object Pascal
6.) Understanding number 5, you need to have a Computer science degree (not compulsory, but very recommended) and get up todate courses about offensive security and a background to fit your purpose
7.) You have to understand a certain level of Cryptography

Let me stop here , The only place you can understand these , is to go college, Not Nigerian type of School, i dont know what they teach there, and Hush is a Scriptkiddie and no hacker, Nothing else!

Its part of it.

You’re very correct. Before I got my second degree in Computer Engineering, in my third year to be precise, I started my search for Cyber Security roles. I did over 200 applications and got called up for over 80 interviews but none gave me a listening ear even though they knew I was saying the right things in the interviews but all that was just textbook knowledge. Three months after my graduation that’s when I got my first job and that’s were I learnt the core foundation of Security. Presently going on my 7 year in the field after working as an Analyst, SecOps, Security Consulting and now in Engineering. It’s now very difficult getting in especially after the pandemic

Sorry about it. Maybe you should consider taking courses with Offensive Security.
Its Expensive, but its worth it. They open doors for Jobs as well.

I was a Mobile dev, currently the market is really saturated, hence i want to seek something else challenging and stuff. Maybe, employing the Use of AI to solve Cyber threats..
Looking at a large project in the coming year.

I am sharing with you confidential information from the FBI, research very well and you will see that the WannaCry code was similar to codes used by Lazarus group, hence their indictments. And talking about script kiddies, they are more dangerous, and what will you say if I deliver a special software using GitHub Copilot? will you also call me script kiddie? infact being a script kiddie is good because practice makes perfect.

Every member of the IBM Xforce have some form of academic degree. It's apparent that the one that's not up-to-date is you sir.

Lastly, Let me put it this way. I'm not saying you need a degree to be an expert. What I'm saying is, a degree is the bare minimum for any organization to even consider you for a role or trust you with their network. You guys need to stop selling this "you don't need a degree to enter this IT field"

I still stand on the fact the Cybersecurity is NOT an entry-level role. It'll take you years of experience to be an expert.

Open on your browser, take some certification courses , they have a lab for things like these. Advance in your skills then approach real life scenarios

Have most of these things on your CV , then you can ascertain your journey has started.
They give certifications too.
