Currently I cannot be of help but I want to ask if it’s QUT you’re going to?

Please who here is at QUT? Can I complete the EOI and application by myself? I got supervisors’ approval.

Please what do you mean by "unverifiable residential address". How would they verify a residential address in Nigeria? Did you make a mistake when you filled that section?

Zykore:

Applied on Dec 7 2022
Biometrics on Dec 14th 2022
Medical on Dec 21st 2022

Jan 13th 2023, I received a notice of invalid application due to unverifiable residential address.

I put in a new application on Jan 18th 2023
Got a grant on Jan 24th 2023

Applied for student visa on April 16th 2023. Still on "Further assessment". 7 weeks now. Does it generally take this long?

Hello people.

YOUR TIMELY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

I logged my visa 4weeks ago. However, classes have already started this June. Is it advisable to defer to September intake or join the June class online?.
Because it is kind of worrisome that some persons that logged 7weeks ago are still awaiting a decision. Mine is 4weeks.
Also, how feasible is the online class for someone who is still working
Lastly, would joining online the trimester that has already started put one under a lot of pressure when a visa decision is ready as per travelling plans, getting a job upon arrival, etc. or is it safer to defer?
Your responses would be highly appreciated.

Your best option is to defer and get a new COE and update immigration with it immediately. Waiting time is very long nowadays.

When someone starts online and they get a refusal, they are most likely not going to get their initial deposit back.

Congratulations. My wife logged in her application on 14th of April. It is still showing further assessment. I don't know why hers is taking too long. This is the 9th week. Her resumption date is in August.

Na wa for these representatives oh. My PhD proposal has been approved by prospective supervisors and they’re asking me to proceed for EOI and scholarship application. IDP and MEL are asking me to get ready to pay school fees deposit and proof of funds before they do EOI for me. If I had these why would I be applying for a scholarship? If I had 25m why would I go to Australia? Visa grant when a scholarship is given would not require a tuition deposit or POF but these representatives are asking me for these.

Na real wa! Pay school fees deposit when you don't even have an admission yet. I would like to think that there is a miscommunication somewhere. Could it be that your agent lacks experience when it comes to dealing with prospective PhD applicants. Also, I do not think any decent Uni should mandate prospective PhD students to use agent - I personally would dislike that.

Not that they are asking me to pay school fees yet. The agent wants my bank statement and it must show that I have all the funds for deposit and POF. Me wey Dey find scholarship. So I will now use 60+ million to do 3 to 4 years of PhD. Because of what na? I can use that money to buy PR by investment in one Caribbean country.

Emergency please help..

A friend of mine got admitted in Torrens university and she's in Melbourne. She did her trimester 1 online and now she just registered 3 courses for the trimester 2 few weeks ago and she paid already. Yesterday, she got an email from torrens university asking her to change her course from online to face to face which is campus because refusal to do so, they might likely report to home affairs. She went online and checked her course, among the 3 courses she registered for trimester 2, only one was fully online and the other two had the option to change to campus courses but the thing is that, the campus is not in Melbourne. She's just devastated and doesn't know what to do. Please your advice will go a long way, thank you family.

Oh I see. Hehe, I agree with you. As someone who has 'been there, done it', I always advise people never to use their own money to do a PhD, because PhD students essentially sla.ve for the Uni. So make the University pay for that damn PhD, hehe.
