Good news, Do not call BEDC or any NEPA officials. just count yourself very lucky. It simply mean your meter can operate for years without recharging it. That particular meter has expired, therefore cannot go off. As it stands you cant tell how much card you have inside. Just watch it out. Don't subscribe again. Enjoy

Same thing Happened to me two years ago.
Spoke to the NEPA official, they said if it show "CALL" that meter has expired and needs replacement.

Paid 80k for replacement and got it 3 months later. Was asiststed by a NEPA official living next to my apartment.

Note: others with similar issues around my environ also replaced their prepaid meter.

Just contact them and get a replacement.

They will program all your accumulated debt on the prapaid meter, and asked you to pay all the accumulated debt on your meter before you can use light.

If they continue this way, all Nigeria will have no choice than to bypass their meter,

we dey enjoy free light in our house now, as they no one get sense,

asking tenant to pay up almost 2milla debt they know nothing about in the house that exists since 30 years ago

It's something that's not easy to rectify, it's usually abandoned.

the accumulated debt is as a result of the ir fraud. They disconnected my line my line for several months but kept bringing Bills When I wasn't connected to their erratic power supply.

Companies don't allow meter repair. They want you to buy another.

It's possible to work. There are two types of CALL.

The ordinary CALL and CALL FAIL.

Both can be repaired.
