Good.
Business tycoons, world leaders, directors of industries, financial experts, global figures and stakeholders around the world are appreciating Bola Tinubu for his pragmatism since he became President while children of hate down here at home have not seen anything good about his decisions so far because they have been blinded by their hatred.

It’s a shame he was actually elected to SERVE NIGERIANS (including the “children of hate”)
Not “business tycoons, world leaders, directors of industries, financial experts, global figures and stakeholders around the world”!

Until the people he is meant to serve start feeling the positive impact of his policies , he has done nothing. Inshort he has done worse because the masses and more than 95% percent of the population are currently seeing "SHEGE" .

We can't bank our hope on assumptions that the policies are for the betterment of the people. And I sincerely don't trust him but will give a benefit of doubt for now because we have been here before several times when Govt make policies and end up looting the money generated.

So please don't count your chickens before the eggs are laid. The only thing he has succeeded in doing so far is making life harder for the citizens we only just hope and hope there will be rewards.

If you don't know where is paining you am very sure millions of Nigeria know theirs.

Yes, those steps are commendable and bold. However, a need exists to roll out measures to cushion the harsh effects of PMS subsidy removal. I learnt the World Bank gave them funds for that. I hope they haven't looted the money as usual.

By the way, I don't agree that those steps will lower inflation. It will only worsen inflation as we will definitely see in the coming months. Get ready, people, because it's going to be a bumpy ride ahead!
I guess Tinubu is just playing the Western world's economic script to gain acceptance and credibility without think of how his actions impact negatively on the masses at home.

But I guess it's too early to judge!

AND we keep talking of " commendable steps". I hope we are not confusing Tinubu's "disengaging appointees of the previous administration to put in his people' as commendable achievement CBN, EFCC, Service Chiefs, Customs, Immigration etc.

The only BOLD step Tinubu has taken is in the foreign exchange (FX) market with the collapsing of all CBN's FX instruments Into the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window and the lifting of the restrictions on Domiciliary Account deposit and withdrawal limits, WHICH IS WHAT THE WEST, WORLD BANK AND THE IMF WANT TO HEAR!

The effect of this on the economy, like I said before,is too early to judge.

The Fuel Subsidy removal was done by the Buhari's administration. Tinubu just made the announcement!

Why is it that increasing number of people on this forum( not to say Nigerians) are so gullible and unwary? Or are they mainly the paid cultic goons? Who does not know that all that Tinubu has done so far are IMF/World Bank neo liberal policies? These policies drown nations. It's not designed for your true benefit, believe it or not. You that is praising a 3 weeks old administration in spite of what you've suffered at the hands of the Nigerian govt, can you be more foolish? How has Tinubu's actions so far helped the masses?

Why are you rejoicing that former WB President praised Tinubu? When will you have sense? So you not know they praise him coz he's doing their will?

The NWO has always designed policies that will make it easier for them to control the human race and are making the policies a prerequisite to obtain loans to loan-seeking poor nations. Anyway, going into details will make a very long read here. Go and search NWO by yourself. Again, how has Tinubu's actions so far made life better for the masses?

You are right, the impatient Nigerians want a short-cut, a kind of get rich quick syndrome that is charactarized of money ritualists and fraudsters. The hunger is so bad that they cant wait for the baker to finish baking before they bring the dough out of the oven and consume raw flour. They forget that to destroy is fast but to repair takes time. The business tycoons and stakeholders know better about economics and what will be the long-term dividends of these policies if left to thrive, which far outweigh the immediate gratification that the poor masses are seeking.

Development is ultimately about PEOPLE…

If the PEOPLE who elected you to SERVE them starve to death in the short-term…
That some elite stakeholders/foreigners supposedly “know better about economics” is IRRELEVANT.

Economics has NEVER been one-size-fits-all…
Rather, intelligent economic policies are BESPOKE to fit the PECULIAR circumstances of the population.

Well his policies are commendable. I just want to see a more deliberate position and actions against corruption and corrupt politicians . Plus cutting cost of governance.
Reduce the number of aides per politician
Reduce salary and allowances of all politicians across the tiers of government.
Make politicial office an internship not a full time job so they earn allowances not salary.
Veto a constitution amendment removing all clauses of immunity for all political office holders. .
Veto laws enforcing effecting judicial system where no accused persons case should delay beyond 30 days and sentencing must be no longer than 30 days plus no court case can be adjourned more than twice
Sign into law the whistle blower act and witness protection act.
Sign into law death Penalty for the following crimes, cultism conviction of murder or robbery
Corruption
Internet fraud (yahoo)
Any form of looting or stealing public funds
Child molestation
Rape
Armed robbery
And cultism

Build more prisons. If ASIWAJU can do these then he will be forever cemented in history as the greatest African president and greatest Nigerian president ever.

Because once these are done, just sit back and automatically watch the system weed itself of all corrupt persons and politicians

Good leadership is not rocket science, all it takes is the guts to do the right thing
Just say you are looking for a dictator

You have already buttressed my point. The intelligent economic policies you mentioned takes a process to achieve. I'm sure you know that part of the process to achieve the "development" you talked about is monetary policies, uprooting the wrong people and fixing the right people, blocking wastages and maximizing resources which all takes wisdom and calculation. The only problem is dealing with the mentality of the people you are leading and making them realize that these are for their benefit and can't be achieved overnight by magic or abracadabra.

In two weeks of his presidency, all President Tinubu policies have impacted on the disposable income of Nigerians: fuel subsidy removal without palliatives, increase in electricity tariffs, imposition of VAT on imported diesel when refineries not working is the fault of government, and increase in the cost higher education. All these are coming in quick succession to create funds for government to function effectively, which is not bad.

However, NOW, we desperately need something on the 'credit' side of the family 'balance sheet'. It is time for Tinubu to roll out his policies towards cushioning the immediate effects of these policies, increasing minimum wage, reviving the refineries, revitalizing the economy, creating job opportunities, and boosting entrepreneurship/SMEs, etc. Things that make many millions of people to earn income to meet needs created by reforms as well as pay tax. It's time to remember the people. We need something on the credit side. We are SUFFOCATING!

Looking increasingly like let the poor breath so I can suffocate them myself. grin

Running govt is not Home economics, if the previous govts have done a better, he wouldnt be starting from the foundation.

All what we going through now is inevitable its the fact, the thing is that, it should have been a thing of the past like 10yrs ago.

Let us support em to take this country a better level, hes the only candidate that have that resources to do it.
