Toh, me I said it many times, but everyone seemed to be hailing Tilumbu. Money will be realised from subsidy removal, no doubt, many contracts will be awarded at ridiculously high rates, all the gains from subsidy removal will end up in the pockets of theiving politicians, rogue contractors and corrupt civil servants. These trio will still feed fat as usual, but under Tilumbu, the masses will pay for the expensive lifestyle of these rogues with their sweat.

I just think this may be the simple truth abt the subsidy removal thing I have read so far. Buh let's hope things will change.

Nigerian problem is that federal government pay too much tax payers money to execute anyone project and they still lot the money finanly without much to see, amd this is because of too many cuts the pay to shot up auditors etc

I hope the mentality change

Fuel Subsidy removal shouldn't be the first policy of this Government, knowing the negative impact it will have on the masses.

Times are definitely not nice to Nigerians. The streets are not smiling. People are not happy. You could see from their sad faces.

I am an undergraduate working as a security guard at night to help myself financially.

So due to fuel situation and the economic effects, I have been trekking to and fro the place, because no money and the transport is very expensive now. Today, I didn't feel very strong to trek back to the place due to malaria seriously holding me down. I approached my neighbor who is earning over 100k+ salary, minus side hustling to help me with transport fare to go to work. Guess what? He started by laughing cheapishly. When he paused, he narrated how he trekked back from work on Friday, trekked to and fro work today being Monday and not sure how he'll get back to office tomorrow morning being Tuesday. That the new transport fare has eaten deeper into his small earning that even before middle of the month, the salary had long gone. Last night, the children drank Garri to go to bed and this morning, the children left to school drinking only Pap and he put only N100 Akara for each in their lunch boxes. Sad story. He added that due to the economic impact of fuel subsidy removal, retrenchment letters for 3 of his colleagues in the office are ready to be served by the end of the month, and more to go.

Who will rescue us, we don't know? Sad truth is that the money that will be generated from this subsidy removal will not be put to use to the benefit of the commoners. It's just a plot to generate more money for the elites/thieves.

Could you believe that nobody could borrow me N500 in the whole compound? Incredible.

Well, even when I wasn't feeling strong to trek coupled with all I'm passing through financially, I just had to trek which I did.

I picked up this job because instead of sleeping freely at night and when the rent expires, the landlord would come after me + plus all the bills heaped on me, I could rather spend the nights here reading my books, sleep (even though not as recommended) and still earn some money no matter how small.

Finally, I would say do well to help people when you can. People are going through a lot. Not untill the start falling in the street.

God bless all hard working Nigerians no matter the tough times we face.

Not until we stop the tribal things and voting on tribal line, worst days are ahead. If not, how did APC came back to government upon all they unlashed on Nigerians.
The good news is that all that did what they did and brought them back doesn't have a seperate markets to buy from. Na all Nigerians dey suffer am. By the time Tinubu finish with us with taxes with no mercy, people will be falling on the street. It's just begining. Forget the initial gra gra and hailing. You think they care about you?

I sincerely hope people will learn their lessons after all these happenings. The first quality of a leader is concern for the followers. The people in power now have never shown concern for you and I. Check it, EndSars, Naira Redesign, insecurity in every region, Japa syndrome, etc. Even when it was election time and you invited them for debate and interaction, did they come? Do you think they give a hoot how you feel or what you will say? To give monkey banana is easy, to retrieve the banana is the problem. We gave power to those who can comfortably avoid us. Now see the result.

When warri was booming, the people were disturbing and stoping oil companies from operating with very hard conditions. At the time they felt the oil companies have no option. Now the oil companies relocated all their activities out from warri. Go to warri today and you will shed tears. It's a ghost town already. Same will happen to Lagos if the managers of Lagos think they are smart by chasing away non indegens with their policies.
Presently you hardly see non indegens buying property in Lagos. This will crash the real estate business. Small scale business will soon follow suit. Seaport is not that it takes to do business. All is because of selfish interest of few that don't care about you the common man. The hardship is just starting but I pray for my country.

The inflation won't end anytime soon, give it another 6months there will be another round of increments backed by some fickle reasons again. Smh

In the face of opec cuts on production (which means the market is saturated with cheap crude) why should we be bothered again about effects of importation of Fuel when we could refine crude here or at least roll out multiple modular refinery licenses so as to increase supply and crash price. Every single essential thing people depend on will somehow be pushed to scarcity so as to milk the poor and middle class. A very greedy society honestly undecided

Well as u can see from experience, when it is bad it affects the common Nigerian the most, but ur elite il tell u,that this one is Igbo, this one is Yoruba, this one is Hausa, when it comes to elections, but what he il fail to tell u is what is d right thing. Let us live with our choices n pray for the President, if he gets it right for us o! not for the elite ,we all smile, if he gets it wrong for us , we cry, the elite smile.
