Ebubu7:PCN is a very federal government regulatory agency that also performs the role of a professional body. Anyway, let’s wait for further clarification from budget office on the bodies that would be affected. |

Be ready to pay for their services at exorbitant amounts. You need to have an empowered people before cutting off services. The problem of this country isn't in subsidizing certain services but the corruption while doing it. Secondly, removing these subsidies makes more monies available to the govt but to what use? More looting i presume. How have you utilized the monies available? Are they well accounted for? The masses are the ones making the sacrifices even though majority are poor but you keep your allowances at an exhorbitant amount still and you want us to believe you have the interest of the masses at heart. I am no fool |

They want us to pay the dept buhari and apc tookquote author=ede1 post=124074630]One important question Nigerians are not asking is thus . After removing these subsidies can the government give us both short-term and long-term plans on what to do with all these funds realized from the removal so we can monitor the judicious use of it? Or they are just creating more funds to be embezzled.[/quote] |

Minjim:the money generated by those hospitals is not enough to pay all the healthcare workers in those hospitals. That is where subsidy came in because those revenue generated in those hospitals can’t pay the thousands of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and med lab workers there with change left for power supply, fuel, maintenance et cetera. So yeah healthcare is the only sector subsidised in Nigeria. Next is aviation cos many airports can’t maintain themselves with passenger revenue. So health and aviation only. Education has been removed |

ede1:That is no doubt what the case would be, EMBEZZLEMENT, as usual. It is still all coming back to the poor masses. If as a doctor I spent close to million naira on my licence per year, then what do you expect me to charge you as my patient?? ?? Subsidy removal is a very good thing, BUT we are not ripe for it at all. The poor will suffer die |

FreeStuffsNG:You are a big foooool. Is it subsidies or corruption in government that has bled this country dry? Discontinuation of subsidies on fuel, education and now professional bodies will only increase the cost of their services to the same public. Everything government is supposed to do for public welfare is being discontinued and you are here talking rubbish! Meanwhile no palliative has been provided. Cost of Governance is still business as usual. Ridiculous tariffs at the border are still in place. Minimum wage has still not been visited. No talk on our local refineries. Psycophant! |

Ebubu7:How can you say health is being subsidized if funding to NMA has been suspended? Abi your head dey pain you ni ? What country that seeks to advance economically seeks to remove support to Education in place of Aviation that has pretty much been patronised by the upper class? |

After removing these subsidies can the government give us both short-term and long-term plans on what to do with all these funds realized from the removal so we can monitor the judicious use of it? Or they are just creating more funds to be embezzled. They will use part of it to pay debt and the rest will be looted. |

We all have benefits that we enjoy from the government one way or the other but ignorant nigerians condemn the country as if its the worst place in the world. By the time the government decide to remove all subsidies permanently our eyes go clear finish |
