When the breakfast is yet to be served. Other countries are also implementing measures to generate new income..

We must first go through the hardship before having surplus
This is the same lie every successive government have used before now. Must the citizens be at the receiving end all the time?
Why not go after the subsidy looters and various others that have looted the treasury of this country dry?

It's only in Nigeria that people will plant and expect to reap bountiful harvest within month. From all indication, when you plant trees you enjoy its fruit for long years, but when you plant annual crops you only enjoy it in a year. Obviously Nigerians want better life but want to continue with the same ways of doing things. You can't expect change in your life yet keep on moving on the same road it will keep on lead you to the same destination. We need to be patient with the government policies.

Too much motion but no movement, I wish he could start first by tackling the monumental corruption in the past administration thereby blocking leakages but he's making life miserable for the citizens first in order to toughen them

you guys should stop using this line... its the same lines you used during buhari and abused everybody that think otherwise and we all can see the result now.. we all want the country to propser and we pray the president get it right and implement policies that will propel us but that line is stupid as Bleep and its mostly used by asslickers

Are you talking about the hardship you went through during the 8 years of Buhari cos nothing as such here.

Make una stop using whatever you might be going through in life to be judging others.
this is mockery to an average nigerian that went through hell during buhari time.. that you have access to surplus doesnt men others have.. this mentality of only me is what is killing the country and people like you should think better. enough asslicking

After 8 years of Lamentations and Wailing under bullshit Buhari, I honestly don't have strength to even talk about anything concerning Nigeria anymore. I'm only minding my business these days while carrying my own portion of burden the majority of fools or the minority of APC devils throw at us.

Surely you are one of so called political beggers called PAs, collecting what even grade 10 level officer is not collecting as salary. What ever he might bee going through to judge others, who , except the elected and appointmented politicians ( whom dis-dat allowances is superb relief) that is not going hardship in Nigeria?

Oga how now?

Subsidy that he removed has made prices skyrocket and increased the cost of living, devaluing the Naira has reduced purchasing power

Pls enlighten me on how this has ensured progress for the country
The reason why there is so much hardship in the 1st place is subsidy and bad forex management. The 1st step is to stop was is causing the pain, it does not mean the pain will stop immediately but it means the pain will not get any worse and over time things will get better.

The reason why there are no jobs is because the people that create jobs (investors) all stopped investing in Nigeria. Investors (both local and foreign) ran away from investing in Nigeria was because they couldn’t get their money out, a good case in point is Emirates Airline, hat has close to $1b stuck in Nigeria it couldn’t get out. As a result it banned Air peace from Dubai (which means Air peace can’t make forex from Dubai customers) and banned visas to Nigeria. Investors create jobs, without the jobs unemployment rises and suffering rises. Another was are portfolio investors who invest in our stock and bond market. When they had problems getting their money out they stopped investing in Nigeria. The inflow of foreign portfolio investment (aka dollars) was a big source of foreign exchange that dried up under Buhari. As for subsidy, it is on record that we have already saved N400b in just 30 days. That is more money for social programmes, , increased salaries, education, infrastructure health education etc.

think about it, Lagos-Ibadan rail cost $2b (or N1.4 trillion at todays exchange rate). We had to borrow the money because we were spending all our money on subsidy…that was going to neighboring countries. Yet in just 3 and a half months we will have saved bough money to build another Lagos Ibadan rail line without having to borrow. All the money we spent on subsidy, do we have anything to show for it? If we had spent the subsidy money on infrastructure or education, at least we would be able to point to where the money went.
