The reason behind the absence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s portraits in certain offices at the Abia Government House has been revealed by the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti.

According to News Verified, the online community has been buzzing about the missing portraits of Tinubu in various offices at the Abia State Government House.

But speaking on behalf of the governor, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, dismissed claims that the absence was due to Otti’s administration’s none recognition of Tinubu as Nigerian president.

He said the state government had the president’s portraits in some offices but not in all, adding that the same applies to the governor as well.

Ekeoma accused oppositions in the state of sponsoring the media reports to discredit the governor.

“We don’t have the governor’s portraits in most offices because this is a new government. We have placed some pictures and ordered for more. It has nothing to do with politics.

“The day the governor met with permanent secretaries we still had the former Governor Ikpeazu’s portrait in the banquet hall. It is criminal to say that the person who was duly sworn in as president will not be recognised. It doesn’t make sense, and we don’t think it is in that direction,” he said.

PBAT should be wary of these people.. they will say we are talking too much till something bad will happen. You don't recognize a sitting president and expect to get allocations from FG?
Alex Otti is infact an illegitimate governor in Abia cos there is an existing judgement of Federal High Court nullifying his victory. The usual hypocrites are looking for manhood at tribunal but won't obey a Federal High Court ruling on Otti.

Whatever. It makes no difference whether you hang his picture in your office or not. He’s your president and you will keep bowing severally before him. And yes, he will rule you and your entire household till 2027 at the first instance.

This is a dumb excuse. The smart thing to do was to make sure no picture was hung up at all.

Is there any law stating that the president and governor's pictures be hung up on functions like these. If no, then only insignias of both the federal and state government should be hung up in such times.
