Happy sunday nairalanders.
I moved to a new area(Student area) and decided to attend a nearby church.

These are what I noticed.

-- I was the only one that used scarf.Even the choristers and the female ministers didn't use scarf.

--Almost all the female members are putting on trousers, ladies that put on gowns/skirt are not up to 20%.
I was even surprised that the two female ministers and the female choristers also put on trouser to climb the church alter.

--During prayer intersection,I noticed everybody were praying in tongues and it seems am the only person not filled with the holy spirit to speak in tongues.

Even when we were asked to pray on our offering, people still prayed in tongues.

And it just seems I'm odd among them or is it that am not modernized?

Only God guide whoever He will to the right path:Quran 28 vs 56. We have seen people who were deeply astrayed like you that are now Muslims.

Have you heard of that South African pastor and his congregation of over hundred thousand who have now found the truth?

I prayed God open your eyes to the truth. And most importantly free your mind for it's not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts: Quran 22:46

Well, the Church or Churches I attend based on location at any point in time do all these things and I don't. As long as they don't preach or teach what's not in the Bible, I fellowship with them and I am a believer of what you have on your inside should reflect on your outside and also the standards of God not changing as the world changes.

Well, before you decide to become a member of this church ponder on these observations below
1. Female Ministers: well, you may say I'm sexist but the Bible does not command a woman to preach

Reading through Scripture, a few passages stand out that directly speak to the role of women in the church: 1 Corinthians 11:3-12, 14:34-35, 1 Timothy 2:11-15 and Titus 1, 2. These passages are the foundation for the conclusion that women cannot be lead pastors in churches.

2. About speaking or praying in tongues pls read 1 Corinthians 14;1-28 Acts 2:1-11 you will understand that Speaking in Tongues is not speaking gibberish and bubbling about

Nigerian churches have been polarized with Strange quasi Christianity that has nothing to do with real Christianity of the Bible

May the God Lord help you locate a Bible teaching Church

A significant number of black people have woken up and liberated from the scam of Abrahamic religion i.e Christianity and islam

If you still practice any of the two Abrahamic religion, its time you wake up and ditch that slave master's history book.

Have you asked yourself with number of churches and mosque in Nigeria and the amount of prayers offered, the country is very backward and not working?

If we can conclude anything, it is that the prayers aren't working.

If the prayers they offer works, Nigeria will be heaven on earth by now considering the number of churches on every inch and corner of Nigeria.

If 80% of the buildings used as worship centers are turned to factories, do you know how much it will contribute to Nigeria's economy?

If we have so many churches and mosques and and the country is backward do you think that closing down all the churches and mosques is the bright idea that will make the country move forward?

Today was kinda funny tho...
One lady was just calling states and capitals thinking she was teaching us how to pray in tongues. I was just hearing sokotomaliba, Anambrayaya. I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

The other one just wore a fitted dress and be shaking her waist. I just observed and focused on my mission since we can't permanently shut our organs.

But that is wrong, the gift comes from God not by trying to put different sounds together.

Its not good to try to force it out or do it from ones effort. It is a gift The Holy Spirit gives to whomever he chooses or decides to give.

I like the way you started that you are regulated by the Bible. The Bible have one message. Our interpretation isn’t the Bible message . We must constantly look at our interpretation and constantly a check and ensures it always in tandem with the Bible. We should even adjust our interpretations in the light of better understanding.
Imports too, the Bible ask us not to Judge.
Those skirt like dress or clothes looking like gowns in those day were the acceptable way of dressing for that time (remember I said in my first reaction that we should be careful about how people judge at a time or age). Still even then, men’s clothing were easily recognizable and differentiated from womens. I am not against trousers as their are trousers that a guy wouldn’t wear without looking odd as people generally at this time recognize it to mean it’s a ladies trousers. In this vein, my associating some particular dressing to yahoo yahoo people it’s not just me it is how the general recognize it at this time...{I had to break}... we shouldn’t pretend like we don’t know this kind of dressing.
Moses was mistaken for an Egyptian by the midianites because of the way he dressed. It was not the personal interpretation of the observers then, people generally then as they would now know how Egyptians dress.
God should be glorified in our conducts as well as clothing. If somebody that dresses ok is bad in character then that person has only scored 50 over 100 it’s the same way has person that dresses badly but has good character

Is it God that defines the dressing standard? Nope! But you and people like you - you define it, condemn, and judge others that don't fall into your definition. That's wrong. How did this whole thing started? It started just like the issue of gay and related stuff today. World people pushed for a certain way of life until they made it standard for them and then judge others that don't adjust to their standard.

What's God's standard? Godly morals! Once you have them in your heart and allow them lead you, you don't have a problem. However, you will also have to factor in the law of the land in that area. If the law condemns it, then you'll be punish by the law if the keepers of the law comes for you. But being punished by the law doesn't mean God is condemning you.

By the way, what's 50/100 abeg, when heaven is the goal? Tell me, who among the two set of people can make heaven?

But you see islam it draws you closer to the devil...the longer you stay in islam the more evil inclined you become. Its a hole the leads to darkness.

I think that the reason why it's like this is because people don't study the bible. When you study the bible, everything becomes clear and nobody can deceive you. Preachers and Pastors are not encouraging their congregation to study the bible properly. Every time in church the preachers would say open to the book of That verse This to This, usually short texts and they read that particular text and the preacher starts to preach from that verse.... Many times what the preacher is preaching is not what that verse is talking about, but because nobody bothers to read the preceding verses and the following verses and sometimes the whole chapter to understand the full scope of what the verses are talking about, they get easily misled and confused and lost.

I'm talking of personal matters dude.

Not when you're physically affected or someone else is. Emphasis on physical.

Someone's style of religion or worship will not physically affect them or anyone else.

So if someone dresses naked to church it doesn't affect the other person? I guess that's what you're trying to say.

Away from the church, we've had cases where indecent dressings were banned in universities and other forms of gathering.

Would u say the people who made these restrictions were erratic, because according to u indecent dressing doesn't affect the next person?

You should know that one of the things that differentiates us or makes us higher mammals is the ability to spot good and evil, in essence sound morals.

Sure!

By doing so, we are gonna have a generation that aren't indoctrinated nor brainwashed from childhood.
They will grow up with the right mentality of not believing in prayers but using their brains to work and find solutions to our problems.

Thats how Christianity allow all sort of evil beliefs to creep-in. Church of Satan, Ordaining gay Bishops etc. Things that are entirely out of Abrahamic religions.
Its absord and moronic to distort the true revelation to suit and accommodate everyone.
In Islam, its either you follow to true teachings or you keep deceiving yourself.

You're the one with the problem not modernisation.

If others pray in tongues, nothing stop you from praying in understanding. What and how to pray depends on individuals.

Nothing is wrong with trousers, infact some skirts are worse than trousers. Dressing in modesty is key.
You are suffering from spiritual Inferiority.

I advice you go back to the Bible and get to know what we came here to do and our final destiny really.
You have referred to our dressing standard and even sexual orientation as though it is not something Bible defines and regulate. You are either ignorant or lying as I will point to you that God actually through the Bible regulates our dressing by two/three standards;
1. It was in the beginning in Eden that God actually fist start to define and regulate dressing standards. The standard God set there was that clothings must cover. God replaced the clothes our first parent made with leaves with that made of animal skins.
2: God enjoins us to dress in a way that we won’t be mistaken to other sex or people that the world sees as belong to some culture with ungodly vices.
3: this encapsulate everything, and it is that our conduct and clothing must glorify God “FOR THERE ARE CLOUD OF WITNESSES AROUND US.”

You remember I said at the very beginning that I do not know your religion but then you boasted that the Bible regulates you. But this hasn’t been evident in your argument. I have made in all my response references to Bible events and even quoted Bible, and you haven’t been able to fault any of this. But you on the other hand, have hardly made reference to anything from the Bible. One can conclude that you are not really being regulated by the Bible but by human (limited and deficient) wisdom and traditions.
You have even gone 180 degrees by going against your advice not to judge by directly judging me and falsely saying that ‘me and people like me’ define dressing standards and condemn people.
Dressing like gay issue has been refined and regulated by the Bible. And I have all the while shown you this

A lot of people from the west ignorantly and out of hatred spoke ills about Islam in the past but today most of them are now moslems testifying and converting their people into the only religion recognized by God

All prophets and messengers of God practice Islam.
@bold, Islam is an Abrahamic religion that came after Judaism and Christianity but you believe that only Islam is recognised by God and the other ones are what by God? You cannot be serious.

Just in my last response alone, I mentioned the event to you at Genesis 3:20. I also showed you the idea that is in Deuteronomy 22:5 and 1 Corinthians 6:20 (“glorify God in your body”).
And when I quoted that “there are clouds of witnesses around us” I was almost quoting directly Hebrew 12:1.

My friend, your argument and response hasn’t evidently shown that you are being guided by the Bible. This mean you are most likely not a Christian... maybe only Christian in name.

To rest this it might be that you are in the wrong place and reacting to the wrong issue. This issue is for Christians and people that are ready to accept in FULL bibles regulations and definitions.

In the next 50-100 years Christianity will be odd itself. Christianity rules is defined by the odds of society.

When the society was sane, the Christianity was sane. As society started changing with odds so do Christianity.

Very soon LGBT will be norm too.

When TV came, some said it's devil box, today they use it in all their churches. Sane with phone and social media. This is rvide6that wr cannot define Good or bad, my mere judgement of our head only. But This is what we have today

And that's the problem of a people without rules or standard. That's why Islam 6just beautiful. With rules and standard. The modalities, practises of the mosque is same and not modernity will change it. It's Good, because the rule will prevent odds of society.

There are varieties in Islam too as we've seen over the years in Nigeria. That's why we've had Maitatsine, Boko Haram, ISWAP etc. Also the ones who operate camps where people are indoctrinated based on doctrines which seem alien to Islam as we know it. Of course, they misinterprete the Quran to justify their lifestyles.
