I am facing the exact same issue, to be honest, and starting to get worried. My application doesn't seem to be moving. I applied on June 2nd to resume in August. I did upfront medical after submission and just waiting for them to ask me to go for medicals so I could upload the medical result I was given.

Hi everyone, my parents' passports are ready for pickup. My dad will be going to get them. Will VFS require anything from him when he goes? I don't think he has any slip or receipt with him anymore.

LANDING GIST…..

First of all, I’d like to return all glory back to God almighty for his mercy over me throughout all the processes. So the journey story: My boarding at mmia Lagos was a smooth one because I work at the airport as government officials before my resignation. The airline (Egypt air) checkin staffs request for Acceptance/ offer letter, evidence of payment of tuition, visa, and I was equally asked to login into my student portal. After confirming all, we boarded about 1400 hours and landed at Cairo at about 2000 hours. We were lodged into hotel at Cairo about 0230 hours next day and we were to wake up 0400 hours as checkin begins 0600 hours to fly to Toronto.Meanwhile ,the same process of confirmation of studentship also played out at Cairo airport. The students were asked to show acceptance letter, payment of tuition fee and to also login to our respective school portal. Some of the prospective students we traveled together had issues here as they were not expecting repetition of all the checks. However the 12 hours flight from Cairo to Toronto started about 0900 hours and we landed in Toronto about 1300 hours local time. Immediately we landed, everyone proceeded to arrive can checkin, I scanned my passport and the machine printed a slip for me. I proceeded to Canada border security agents CBSA where I was asked if I came in with fish or meat. I was later directed to a counter where they do attend to student. I met a long queue and I was on the queue for about 1 hour until my turn. The officer that attended to me asked me the name of the school am going and I told him. He asked if I have made any payments to the school and I showed him receipts of the payment I made. After inputting some details into his computer, he told me to sit down for my student permit.

I want to use this medium to still encourage Nigerians that may be interested in traveling through the students route not to be discouraged. It’s not that difficult at the point of entry as some people here have painted. Note that I will be starting my program during the fall sept and I have entered 2 months before the program. When you get to the entry point, be calm, don’t be tense, answer the questions the officer asked politely and it will come through. I appreciate all the info I got from Nairaland. All our dealings will end in praises. Shalom

I am open to help anyone that needs help in terms of answers to questions and clarifications on the study permit.. such persons can dm or send messages to dayborade @ g mail dot com

Hello wonderful people, I am so impressed with the information you're sharing for us in this group. God bless you all and I pray God will grant our hearts desires.
Please I have some questions to ask.

Presently I and my partner are currently in the uk on student visa (2years) , she will finish 2024 May. My concern now is that I want to apply to any college in Canada to get student visa because we dont have the fund for another master in Canada and I don't want to declear her master certificate. Won't they ask what we are doing in uk? I mean work experience and the likes?

Good afternoon guys, I have received notification to come pickup my passport at the VFS office, do I need to book an appointment on the VFS website or just walk in?
I asked the same question some days back and I was told you can walk in between 10 am - 12 noon

Blessed New month to everyone of us here and congratulations to the new PPR holders.

I did my biometric in 2021 but I got a refusal, then I was not married BUT now I am married and want to reapply again for both myself and family( my wife and months old baby). My question now is can I use my old biometric for both myself and my wife, since I am the main applicant or my wife will have her own biometric taken ?

I understand biometric last for 10years.

Also can someone please assist me in applying for a two years diploma program in university of Regina, May 2024 intake. The interface with my mobile phone isn't helping to get what I want for the application.

Please what is the process for WES Evaluation?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by DanielDriz(m): 12:57pm On Jul 03, 2023
Thanks a lot for the clarity

However, what are the possibilities of getting a PR without the 1+1 year program?. Like just doing your one year and getting a one year PGWP and pursing a PR.

Where are you located. I am still waiting for my passport as well. This is extremely stressful

Have you received your letter of introduction or your portal been updated with that?

Here I was thinking it was only me.

Let's just pray for goodnews after this long processing time for a Re-application.

The sad side is that I cannot even register on the tracker. Too bad.

Depending on your province and the requirements to be eligible to apply if you can meet up within the short period of time.

A place like Ontario I heard is a bit difficult and the system there is not too friendly with immigrants so you need to start early preparing for your documents for it and try find job in the area you study but in case if you can't meet up then you have another option to move to a place like Prince Edward or any province where any job is consider as pathway for PR even if your work didn't relate to your field but as long you can work there for six months even if it's cleaning job or any job you will still be qualify to apply for your PR in that city. A place like Prince Edward , you don't have issue or stress to get PR because the place is very cold and many people don't like going there so to get their PR is very easy. but make sure you plan all this before your PGWP end.

That is the little I understand but the gurus in the house can still throw more light.

Thanks. Now I understand but which of them is better

Both are good but MBS cuts down on processing time because there will be no need of sending your bank statement to bank for confirmation.

Good morning, my people please do I need to do WES for college diploma or post graduate diploma

For many colleges or universities, you do not need credential evaluation, but some do specifically request. Seneca College for example requires that you submit a credential evaluation for some programs.

Good morning to the Gurus in the house, please help with your input. I just received my GCMS note.
I have considered the following factors in my decision.
Majority of funds available on file is an investment account. I have concerns that the funds would be sufficient and available for the proposed studies.
Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For this reason above I have refused this application.

Most of the funds where in an investment account. I have liquidated and put the funds in my accounts should I go ahead and reapply or leave the funds in my account for sometime before I reapply.

How long did your GCMS note take.

So you still do not have access to the tracker?

It is usually easy to access.

They will ask what you are doing in UK because they will definitely find out that you have been in UK for over a year now, and they will eventually find out its for a MSc program which you were silent on in your application which will be taken as misinterpretation. So it's inevitable since you are currently in UK.
Go for a diploma program and allow your SOP do the work explaining why you have to do a diploma program in Canada despite having done MSc in UK.

Good day house. Thanks for all that you do. I have applied to the US embassy through an agent a few times and there were lots of wrong information he provided about me because he handled the application from start to finish (You can blame me, I know I messed up). I was denied the US visa on these occasions. I then stumbled across this Canada thread and realized I can pursue this on my own and I have been following the thread since last year. The main problem is I dont know how to correct these misrepresentations, for example, he changed the name of my university to another one. With the Canada student application being more document oriented, what can I do?
