The North will even fare better than the South East, because government infrastructure and intervention is heavily concentrated there. We in the South East have to pay for every drop of fuel we use, through our sweats and also may not have adequate access to government sponsored intervention. Worry for us down here, and not the North. The only solution, like I said, is to hustle harder. No easy way out. 1 Like |

Even the raw materials used in Nnewi and Aba to produce those fake products your people make, are from the North. When we blow that bridge that connects Asaba to Onitsha, and the one that connects Enugu to Benue. That will be the end of theEast. Na hunger go just finish them |

Depriest2020:What the OP said is the sad reality. I know the North very well, and can counter whatever you posted with pure facts, no insult. (1) The part of the North that will be affected most by the post subsidy conditions will be the North West( which you happen to come from) because most food basket of the North are in the NE and NC. (2) Kaduna and Kano have high cost of living compared to some states in the South, but most people tend to believe otherwise until they experience it both ways.( I can prove it if you press further). (3) The Northern diversification to production that you talked about, POP cola that you mentioned is owned by Mahmuda a Lebanese and Aspira is owned by Mr Lee a Chinese in Kano, most indigenous companies are struggling to survive in Kano because of logistical, multiple taxation, high rental cost and other factors( the only cheaper thing compared to the South is the Labour) So my dear forget about the needless comparison the North will surely feel the crunch of this vital hardship the more, all they need to do is to buckle up and try to find a way to swim against the tide. It shall be well. 4 Likes 1 Share |

nedu666: Egusi, Dry Fish, Chicken, Groundnut Oil, Rice, Beef, Goat, Rice, Maize, Millet, Beans, Kpomo, Milk, Honey, Guinea corn, Soya Beans, Onions, Tomatoes, Pepper, Apple, Pineapple, Water melon, Carrot, Irish Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, fresh pepper, Eggs, green Beans, Cheese, Yam etc. These are just few from the food we supply to Igbo People in the EAST. You mentioned Garri, Fufu, Abacha. These are all made from Casava. We in the North see Garri, Akpu and Abacha as food for hungry people. Besides, they are unhealthy food. That's why we don't eat them. 1 Like 1 Share |

Perhaps you would consider that that region is the most policed in the country with all sorts of corrupt security agencies mounting illegal checkpoints on the road and extorting tanker drivers together with all commercial transport and private vehicles. What do you think that does to the price of petrol? People should be more introspective and truthful Zxcvbnmghtr: 1 Like |

Typing: Lol, Northerners can't even feed themselves talk more of sending food to the East. We buy the foodstuff with our money and if we don't, they will sink deeper into multidimensional poverty. People that still feed from dustbins can't possibly feed those that are relatively comfortable. However, we know the region that keeps mining the skulls and body parts of their people. The afonjas are too lazy to the point they believe that only ritual can save them from poverty 1 Like |

misano: Don't mind that guy, SE and SS are the real progressives in virtually everything. Whether it's education, sports, traveling, smartness etc, they're always tops. However, the NW, SW and NE are the most docile and unprogressive set of people. Hausas began almajiri system, Yorubas copied it. Hausas began begging culture, Yorubas copied it and made bambiala part of their culture. Now, reports has it that Yorubas have also copied Hausas in traveling with Dangote trucks like cattle Also check the region that has remained stunted since 1970's. What they call cities are nothing but glorified slums. Their villages are even worse, imagine people that still build mud houses in 2023 |

misano: Let me now expose them. My brother, have you ever seen any Hausa dominated settlement in the South that is beautiful? The ama awusa at Douglas road Owerri is the dirtiest part of town. Always smelling, putrid gutters and shanties/small shops everywhere. It has been like this since 1970. Same story with all their settlements be it in Aba, Benin, P.H, Lagos, Asaba etc. Same thing with Yorubas. If it's Igbos, you will see them building plazas, super markets, hotels, fast foods and duplexes in their settlements. These people can comfortably live in very filthy environment for ages! Unlike people of SE and SS that live in decent environment. 1 Like |

Typing: Delusions of grandeur. When did apple, pineapple, eggs, cheese, yam, milk, honey, chicken, egusi, and dry started coming from North? Are you insane? Apples, milk, cheese etc are imported. Honey, egusi, chicken, dry fish, palm oil, cassava and pineapple are fully produced in the East. Yams, rice, and maize are partly produced in the East and others from middle belt. FYI, middle belt is not part of North. |
