Yes, your biometric is still valid if not up to ten years since the time you did it

Your wife needs to do biometric. Your child doesn't need to.

I think you are the one to apply for admission by yourself. This is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) platform. If you are stuck on something, please ask questions here, your questions will be answered by people who may have passed through the same process in the past. You are encouraged to DIY. If the UI/UX is not good on mobile, you should try a computer.

Meanwhile, if you don't want to DIY, you should employ the service of a qualified professional to assist you-- this is seriously not encouraged. You should do it yourself.

School fees receipt are part of the things Egypt air check before they allow you Board ask people who used Egypt air maybe it’s otherwise

There’s nothing about this on their website. I had only made the payment of 1k for the deposit.

So I have to pay for the total term even when the school is yet to finalize?

That’s weird though.

Not really if the school accepts deposits you can just show them the deposit receipt . But you not paying full school fees might prompt them too ask for proof of fund at point of entry not everyone is asked try asking people who used Egypt air recently

Do you mean point of entry or during boarding?

Because as a person with a sponsor, the visa officer should already know that the student is not financially responsible for themselves

Please I sent my passport to Vfs for stamping since Tuesday and I'm yet to get an update from them. Ups tracking shows that it has been delivered to Lekki since Friday. Does anyone have idea of what I can do?
Hello,
You should hear from VFS today or tomorrow with an update on your submission. You don't need to do anything. I spoke to a fellow Nairalander yesterday and he said the time between when he dropped off his passport at UPS and when he was notified by VFS Lekki to come pick up the stamped passport was 11 days.
So no need to fret.

Good day house. Got my PPR on Friday. Can I submit my passport to a different VAC centre than the one I did my biometrics?
If I can, what are the charges, and how can I pay? I would really appreciate a reply as most dates are getting booked quickly. Thank you.
Hello Lindyadam,

If you are submitting your passport to a different VAC other than where you did your biometrics, you are required to pay a transmission fee of N9410 (Atleast this is what I paid based on information I got from NL).

You can send your passport by courier (DHL, UPS) to your preferred VAC making sure to include all required documents. If you are in Lagos or Abuja, I would advice to opt for in-person pick up of your stamped passport as there have been reported delays by some people who opted for courier delivery in receiving their passports back.

Best regards

Biometrics - not needed since I had a visitor visa in 2016 and Biometrics is still valid
Upfront Medical - May 25, 2022
Upfront Medical Passed - June 23, 2022
PPR - August 02, 2022

It has been God all the way.

I stumbled on this thread a month after submissions when there was no movement with my application. I did not submit the numerous documents seen on the thread and doubted my application will be approved at a point especially home ties.

I got frustrated when my medicals was not updated for at least one month. I sent various emails to Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Abuja and filled numerous forms. My faith was tested and still I believed that God who started this will perfect it.

Documents summited include
1. Bank Statement (Salary and Savings account)
2. Payslips
3. Letter of Explanation on sums paid
4. Offer Letter from Company
5. Acceptance Letter from School
6. School fees balance payment (Submitted through Webform)
7. International Medical Insurance Certificate
8. School Certificates
9 Professional Membership Certificate

I pray for all waiting that the God that did not fail me will show up for you too.

For a student visa refusal and as per the Immigration Refugee Protection Acts and Regulations of Canada, there is unfortunately no rights of appeal . The only option for you is to seek Leave to a judicial review of the Case officer's decision at a Federal Court in Canada. This is expensive and time consuming and even if successful at the federal court and the officer's decision is overturned, your file will only be sent back to be re-determined by another officer- Another waste of time and i do not recommend.

I always advice to :

1. Request an ATIP request to see a comprehensive reason behind the officer's decision.
2. Submit a new application addressing all the concerns with new evidence and explanations in your letter of purpose.

I have seen some instances where applicants for SP wrote a reconsideration request after initial refusals and were granted visas subsequently.

I saw this on the VFS tracker

''Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 2023/07/03. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website''

Does this means that passport has been stamped? although I have not been asked to come and collect it

Secondly, how long until I get my letter of Introduction?
