as odd as it may sound, there is a particular plant someone recommended we plant where I stayed before. Being a chronic critics, I laughed at the idea until the landlord went ahead and get it planted. And that brought an end to their misdemeanor. I will try and get the name of the plant.

Please whats the name of this plant....... Ihave same challenges.....and i've spent a fortune on chemical sprays and solid (buried) ones.

Dead dog bro your house and its environ will become a forbidden area for termites. You will be happy again.

Am also troubled by the pests.
But how would the termites know your fence boundary after burying the dog? In order not to come in again?

I don't think that dog of a thing works,I had of this thing while searching for a solution to termites wahala,unfortunately my dog died and it was buried in my compound,the termites where still there.

try Perfect killer,I have used it and it worked.
dig 2meters deep round your compound and pour the chemical and close it,spray all affected parts if possible your roof too.

No I didn't bury a dog but I keep on fumigating the house every six months and they still keep on disturbing

Fumigation or not it really comes down to who deals with termites in order to make sure you got rid of them. We had a huge issue in Ballarat a few years ago and had to bring in pest control services. I wasn't sure if they will be able to deal with them as the termites were literally in every corner of the house and I was freaking out about it. They told me to relax and let them take care of it once and for all the way they do for years. After a week there was no sign of them and it was a big relief.

First of all, you have to reroof your building with stronger woods. Then secondly as the new wood are being nailed in place, the carpenter using a paint brush applies condemned engine oil on the wood.

That is like painting the planks black using condemned engine oil. This should last a lifetime as the hydrocarbon present in the oil will never wear off making the wood uninhabitable for the termites.

Don't bother about people saying fumigate (some just dey sell market) because after a while the effect of the fumigation wears off and insects are all over the place again.

This is how it's done in the town I grew up in.

just some parts of it, it's affecting my roof already.

That is what it looks like, termites are very difficult to deal with

Visit the nearest florist and ask for termite repellent plant........ It looks like lemon grass but a little harder than lemon grass.... It works real good

op, a dead dog as earlier told should work.
our house is decked, yet this peeps no dey let us rest by always finding a way to dig out the red sand used to sandfill, we even had to pull down a part of the building, excavate the flooring and apply chemical specially for termite(forgotten the name), but e no work for them, we once used engine oil, salt, etc, till someone told us to use dog.
We contracted a dude for our area to buy a 2 puppies and bury it in the compound, na so we no hear about them again after about 17years of tormenting us.

17 years, that’s crazy! Do you know if it works on farm termites also?

I read thru all posts here and I must say am enthralled. I also have a case of termites in my house, posters own is child's play compared to mine. I have tried all sorts of chemicals, salts, concoctions etc. All to no avail. Honestly, am beginning to buy the idea of the dog thing. Termites wahala can cause sleepless nights.
My questions, can I get parts of dog meat or must it be the whole body? Can it be buried outside the compound, not sure I can stand it inside the compound. Is there any spiritual side effects, bf I use sledge hammer kill mosquito for body?

Learnt it works for all termites. I don't know if large expanse of land might affect efficacy.
You can try spread it across the farmland though

Every 5-6 months, I mixed all sorts of chemicals, sniper, wood treatments, engine oil etc and spray all over the woods and ceilings.
I forgot for some months and they came back with wickednes and even condemned my electric pole...just bought a new pole.
A constant battle my brother

Sorry for the late response, every 3 to 4 months, I treat the roof with any chemical, be it sniper, gamaline and any strong insect killers. Unfortunately, this is the only way to go for now.
