Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by asknaija: 10:02am On Jul 21, 2023
Good day people,

I have been to UK only once last year on 6 months visa, and i plan to apply for 5 years under same circumstance. A friend of mine who also visited once last year, applied for 10 years straight and was granted.

I read somewhere here that someone applied for 10 years and was given 6 months. I am afraid that i could apply for 5 years with this current exchange rate and be given less than that.

Any ideas ?
Can someone respond to this my post without quoting me? i noticed the site blocks replies which quote me.

I want to know if i should proceed to apply for 5 years or go for 2 years from 6 months.

Good morning,

I was refused UK visa in 2013,but currently have 2 expired US visas, 5 expired schengen visas, 1 current 5year US visa, 1 current 4years Canadian visa. Is it safe to apply for two years? Since it would be my first UK issued visa.
Like most people have replied, you can. Using my personal experience, was denied previously for 6 months visa, when I applied again, I applied for 2 years and got it by God's grace. Just attach all necessary documents and hope and pray for the best.

1. No need to include you CAC or mention your company if it is not operational.
If you make mention of owning a company, you will need the company's bank account statement with transactions and tax clearance for it to count. Failure to provide these could be detrimental
2. Feb and March is a long time to suspect the deposit so I wouldn't bother explaining. By the way, if you use 6 months statement, the Feb. deposit may not appear depending on when you apply.

I applied for visit visa for my mum, due to postponing the biometrics date, the biometrics date is now just two weeks away from the intended travel date mentioned in all the application docs.

We have agreed that the intended travel date will not work so plan to postpone. Do I need to write a letter explaining that we have changed travel date and upload or leave things the way they are?

I think is better to leave it like that

Hello house.
Kindly help with advice on what to do.
My wife did biometrics a week ago for dependent visa, I'm on work visa in UK.
We used priority services in TLS Ikeja but we're yet to see any email for passport pickup or BRP
We expected priority to be fast within some days but I'm getting frustrated.
I've called ukvi they said a decision has been made but can't say why we've not gotten pickup Mail.
Can we get a refund for our priority and what else can we do.
She's frustrated.

Thank you I'll be checking replies

Priority fee will not be refunded.

Be patient. The visa will be sent this week by God's grace.

She has done her biometrics so it’s not possible to get a refund. All you can do is wait.
Good luck

Update: collection email for the second child just came in. Her dad will go later today. We haven’t received any refusal email so fingers crossed.
Will update if he meets up with pick up today.
Blessedsteph:
Update!!!!!

Received a rejection email for one of the kids. Apparently she was banned few years ago so automatic denial for her. Her mother said she was unaware of the ban as they used an agent then and he only told them the visa was denied but she can’t remember seeing the denial letter.
No update on the 2nd child yet. Tracking shows received by DMC.

Hi everyone
Pls regarding tier 2 dependent child visa I was contacted by the home office to send the child official Nigerian birth certificate because I used the birth certificate issued in the hospital and I had to go to NPC to get one which is now online and cannot be back dated it was after submitting that I noticed that one letter in the child’s surname was missing so I don’t know if I should send the corrected copy and explain or wait until I am being contacted again. Pls help out with your opinion

Good afternoon sirs/ma’s pls I’m filling my form for tourist visa and I have two questions
My salary account balance which I will be using has a closing balance of 3.2million,my monthly salary is 410000 and I spend an average of 150000 (at times less) monthly
How much is it advisable for me to use as my budget for a 10day trip and can someone pls share their itinerary with me.Thanks for your contributions
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa:
If you want to use agent, make sure you use a reputable one.

Someone applied for visa through an agent. He gave all the documents including his bank statement to the agent.

He got a call today from bank, that the bank statement he submitted was a fake one. We believe that the agent edited the bank statement.

Fingers crossed till tomorrow when she goes there to pickup ( we didn't use courier because DHL showed me shege once and misplaced a friend's passport) so she's going there to pick it up.
