I also struggled with negative thoughts often so much that I use to dream alot by them .

But I conquered my mind by applying what's the Bible said to do in such situation .

Casting down imagination ,and taking every thoughts captive .

I speak to my mind and say eg " peace be still "
I bind you ho negative thoughts .
Get out of my mind and stay away .
Etc .
At fisrt nothing seems to Change but rather get worse .
But I kept at it ,and to my surprise ,those dreams stopped ,bad immaginations gradually reduced ,and I gained control over my mind .

You control your mind and your thought by your word .
The way to control your mind is by speaking to it.

Just pick a close date to be done with it...gets your environment suitable, plan how you'll alternatively spend that time...and live.

When the thoughts and urges come, tell it that you're done with that life...and switch your mind and body to something else planned for the time.

I don't know the place of prayer in all these o...I prayed for over 15yrs, yet masturbation no stop.
Buh when I mentally let go, told myself I have outgrown that lifestyle...I saw the mental image of me masturbating, and it disgusted me for the first time.
I stopped instantly.
When the urge comes, I remind myself of how shameful and disgusting I look, masturbating at that age.

I should start first..i dont know why i like boring my finger nails even the nails on my toes i've tried to stop it but i keep forgetting its already a habit ..i think i learnt how to bite my nails from my dad ..my dad always bite his nails often ..i dont know how and why i copied him .please how can i stop biting my nails..because my nails are now short.

This is so me. I don't even know where I picked it from. Probably primary school while avoiding being flogged on the assembly for keeping dirty/long nails.

The second is chewing my mouth (cheeks). I really can't even explain this one. Maybe I assumed it was cute growing up or it helped me think.

I have tried and tried. Na only God I dey trust now.
I really don't want my kids to pick up any of these habits from me.

When it stresses my mouth, I become conscious and stop it.
