JohnBullMySon:You are right about Morocco but that's going to take a decade before we see the fruits. Till then. Besides, you can't see the way Falcons played against Canada and not accept that that display shows hardwork. The only slip up was from Ordega causing pk and abiodun red card. |

codemaniacs:Was just about to talk about this. I agree that it is hibernating for now. I don't want to use Dead. 11 shots and 1 on target is not good for any top team at the World Cup.... See how the Germans played... We are yet to set up in such a way as to isolate the extra man/woman. Madrid and Man City do this well for the Men's team. Lyon, Wolfsburg and Arsenal do it perfectly well for the women's team. A midfield of Ucheibe and Ayinde would help. But our full backs need to go all wing backs to stretch any opponent. I hope we replicate something like this. All these longballs from Nnadozie is to nobody's advantage. Na demehin wey dey fear pass be the weak link for this setup

codemaniacs:At all. I disagree Sebastine is a more rounded player than Ajakaye. Both will come good with time. Ordega at that level was something else already and in world cup team by 2011. Both aren't near her beast mode that year but are as good and Sebastine is the better player. Although her outing in the Cafwcl is not that impressive. |

potland:We still don't get the best and i dunno why. I see Popp her competition mate that year and just feel down. But she's a threat anyday sha. |

daveP:We can do this but our coach is just clueless. We boast of pacy FBs in Imuran, Alozie and Nicole. Imuran is even a good crosser of the ball. In Ucheibe, we have a player who is comfortable slotting in-between the CB freeing up the FBs. See eh... coaching is a big problem in Nigeria football. |

Giulia Dragoni (16) becomes the youngest player to ever grace the field for the Italian women's team at the Women's World Cup. She was in action for 83 minutes. Impressive 👏🏾

daveP:After the U20 World Cup in 2010 everyone thought Esther Sunday was the New Stella Mbachu then because of her Skills, pace and everything but 2014 to come Fransisca Ordega fully displaced Esther Sunday.. I think Franny would have done that long ago in 2012 if not that she missed 2012 WAFCON alongside Oparanozie because of injuries and their Clubside didn’t release them for the tournament then… I can’t Compare the Flourish Sabastine and Ajakaye of now with the Ordega of then, cause Ordega came in with full force… |

These Brazil ladies are exciting to watch |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 1:53pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
mostob:Exactly!! We have the personnel already. Our own is always diff and its enraging. If we play like this vs Australia and sama them with cross and nod, o pari. Their GK, Arnold, na full blown Otu. I'll pick the Moroccan gk over her anyday. She struggled throughout the cornerkicks Ireland played. We can use that to advantage. The goal Australia got was from pk sef caused by inbox tussling for aerial ball. I hope randy noticed this and tells the ladies to try something similar. High chance is it will end in pk. It's not Everytime person suppose win challenge for box. Floating balls and tussle and down. Pk. |

Deltamani:Where are Team wait for your time to see this? Irony is she may not even be as talented as the ones we are saying should wait. But we move. Exposure is very key, talent or not! |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 2:02pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
Deltamani:True. Ordega never get 2nd since then at u17 level till date. Girl was just netting and netting and... These two, i pray they don't end the Esther Sunday way. That girl was too good to not have a good career. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 2:04pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
potland:One can see they've trained together so hard and for long. Everyone seems to know where they are plus passing accuracy is top notch. Don't spend too much time with the ball at your feet as well. I hope Alozie learns this before Thursday. |

You are right and wrong same time. Popp was oshoala's competition during U-20 which they won and Nigeria came second. Oshoala nearly fought during extra time of that game for time wasting when the Germans took the lead. Deltamani: |

labas370:Alex Popp played in the 2010 Under 20 World Cup. Asisat Oshoala played in the 2012 and 2014 Under 20 World Cup. Desire Oparanozie played in the 2010 and 2012 Under 20 World Cup. |

What is the super falcons biggest lost at the world cup? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 3:13pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
labas370:Which Popp are you talking about?? Alexander Popp played U20 World Cup once which was in 2010 and that was Desire Oparanozie, Osinachi Ohale, Ebere Orji, Alaba Jonathan and Esther Sunday set… Asisat Oshoala played two U20 World Cups 2012 and 2014.. In 2012 Asisat Oshoala was a Defensive Midfielder alongside Ngozi Okobi, #5 Cecilia Nku even Cecilia Nku played 2010 U20 then.. The only time Alexander Popp and Asisat Oshoala have met at the Senior level was 2019 FIFA women’s World Cup round of 16 in France… The rest na Club So Prove me Wrong please 🙏 |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 3:36pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
codemaniacs:Please don't be unreasonable. Age was never the crux of argument. No one said Ajakaye or Flourish shouldn't play with the falcons because of their age. For God's sake that is t the point and no one gives a damn about how old you are as long as you can deliver. You don't need to reference this as example. Historically, the super falcons is replete with examples of very young players who featured for the team at the world stage. Debbie and Rofiat are both 19yrs. Okobi was 16/17 when she played her first WAFCON. Same can be said about Asisat, Ajibade Nnadozie who were very young when they got their first stint with the national team. Their age again isn't the point. Stick to the crux of th argument. The aforementioned players are currently in the team cause they were deemed good enough to play top flight football. |

mostob:I don't shy away from arguments. I think they improve this space and we tend to learn a lot from one another in the process. I'm also not afraid to be wrong (been wrong a few times), especially when I'm confronted with superior argument. I just try to learn from them. Some people however just argue for argument sake. I give the benefit of doubt sha, but after a while I just stop engaging. |

labas370:They were different sets actually. I just searched for details all over again. I guess Germany being the opponent on both occasions caused the mixup. I even saw Courtney Dike all over again during this search. Revelation of the year award in 2014 but that was the end of anything else. Naija sef! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 4:33pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
PDPGuy:Imuran and Alozie as wingback so we can provide crosses throughout. Oparanozie starts cos cross and nod only effective that way. But one thing is sha certain. Ajibade abd Ayinde are starting next game. So this won't work. |
