From her comment, it could be concluded that she personally benefited from the man and I think it makes sense cus that's how an average selfish Nigeria thinks. What makes no sense to me is the fact that some individuals who have never benefited from this man still defend him like their life depend on it.

Compare house rent in the USA to that in Nigeria, compare the various taxes u pay to that in Nigeria, compare medical bills, compare tuition fees for children too.
When u compare like that, you won't be screaming anyhow.
There are many many ways to demand improvement from the government not being hypôcrîtical
not the same, minimum wage earners receive food stamps, subsidized housing, free medical, free education for their kids, subsidized tuition etc. Don't ever make that comparison again

All of this is aside from the fact that her claim is technically false. Petrol is cheaper in Kazakhstan, Malayasia, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Kuwait, Iran, Venezuela, Algeria, Angola, Libya.

They don't reason at all. They keep saying Nigeria buys the cheapest fuel in the world as if all other countries are receiving same minimum wage with Nigeria.

Nigèriàñs should own industries and businesses that US cîtîzèns own within their country and grow the economy before demanding the minimum wage of US.
It's fair isn't it?

Are you saying that house rent in Nigeria is cheap? Please stop that nonsense.

30K minimum wage whereas 3 bedroom flat on average is 1 million naira per annum.

The impact of housing is majorly felt in the big cities with a lot of out of state residents. Other wise most people across Nigeria live in their own or family houses.

Roughly all taxes and bills are like half of your income. You still have a very good half to save flex and invest.

You people should stop being wicked.

Why is there subsidy for import in the first place...because we have no working refineries.

The amount spent on subsidies per month is more than enough to build refineries.

You can lie to yourself and the people but the truth is already catching up with you and you and your masters will have no place to hid when the country grinds to a full halt soon.

That time there will be no where to run to as the people will start looking for politicians to physically deal with.

Make una continue.
Don't mind the donut

compare standard of living of the average American and their government welfare/social security programs even for the elderly. We're not talking about that type where one particular APC politician lady (as an example) used COVID paliative Indomie to do birthday souvenirs for herself. You people are damn wicked

Tfare is one of the cheapest in UK and US. Primary and secondary schools are free and when you want to go to the university or college, you can get loan for it and repay when you start working...

This is called social structure... What's the basis for comparison when just 2lts of PMS in Nigeria is almost 1% of the minimum wage

We've not even talked about the social welfare for senior citizens. If you give birth in their hospitals, there are welfare packages for you as a mother and the child

You clearly don't understand social welfare... Ask for the price of a full chicken in the UK and US and see how cheap it is, then, compare it to Nigeria

In Nigeria, a bag of rice is more than our minimum wage. Our purchasing power in Nigeria is very low, if not the lowest in the world

You are busy showing off ignorance while forming intellectual.

Compare it to the UK, where when you are age 23 or over you can't be paid less than the national minimum living wage of £10.42 per hour, for a 23 year old who lives and works in Coventry, 60 hrs per week earning £652, after necessary deductions he should be going home with at least £500 weekly and that is about £2,000 monthly. He pays the rent for his room, £500(bills inclusive), monthly health insurance of about £90, food for £150, Monthly bus pass for unlimited bus travel within West Midlands that covers Coventry, Birmingham etc for £55, clothing, footwear and toiletries £300, phone subscription £25, hanging out £150......Oya, now compare him with a Nigerian graduate earning the minimum wage of N30,000 monthly.

Olboy.
The time I was there, minimum wage was like £5.25 or so. I was above, earning about £8~ish. Monthy part time take home was about £600~ish. Naira was 250 ~ 1 GBP. Roughly N150,000 for student work O.
E just pain me say, na there I dey spend the money. By now that same work would translate to about N350,000 monthly.
Student part time work O. 4hrs a day.
