What did she have to do? She had like 2 or 3 real involvements in the game. She was brought in to see the game out and that's what she did.

Charles Anazodo believes that Ian Wright was wrong and so he has called Demola Olajire in Australia to ask if the Super Falcons are being owed.

The connection is very bad. I can hear both sides, but they can't hear each other.

Demola says that, if they are referring to the World Cup, no team has been paid.

But if it's pre-World Cup, then they are being owed for the qualifiers against Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Charles asks if he can explain why they are being owed.

Demola says that the NFF is always in need of more money. It's not easy running 9 national teams, but the girls have been promised that they will be paid with the money that the NFF gets from the World Cup.

Charles was trying to ask about Ian Wright's tweet but the line cut.

They called him back and he said that Ian Wright has either been misinformed , misled or he is being mischievous. The line cut again.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by naptu2: 8:24am On Jul 28, 2023
Charles says that what he understands is that the NFF will only pay camp allowances, they won't pay bonuses because FIFA has already covered that.

He says that what Ian Wright did was wrong. He says that people have been criticising him on Twitter and saying that he always talks about Chelsea, but Chelsea is not the England National Team.

He said that he has been insulted by people, but he doesn't understand why Nigerians should be supporting a foreigner that probably doesn't even know enough about the Falcons. Femi Farawe asked him what if Ian Wright is preparing for the next round and Charles says that he hopes we play England in the next round.

Charles says that England have had their own problems, so Ian Wright should remove the log in his eye first.

True that, they played so well for 60 minutes only to fall apart when it mattered.

Charles Anazodo is simply just embarrassing himself at this point and it's disappointing to watch. He's been known to be pro-establishment lately and would almost always make excuses for those in authority (whether the APC government or the NFF) to the detriment of the players and Nigerians in general.

When Ian Wright said pay them, he definitely wasn't referring to monies owed. The girls weren't going to boycott the game because of monies owed, but because match bonuses were denied them.

The NFF also doesn't have a revenue problem, especially as it relates to the payment of players. They NFF has a spending problem. Imagine getting $1.75M from the federal government and only $69k of it is for the players. The large chunk of that money is for NFF officials and the ministry as allowance and estacode. How will such an organisation not owe when they prioritise themselves over the players.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by naptu2: 8:34am On Jul 28, 2023
Demola Olajire says that Ian Wright has probably been misinformed. He said that the Falcons are not being owed bonuses. He said that FIFA has consolidated the bonuses. They were going to pay (I didn't hear the amount), but FIFA is now going to pay $30,000 as bonus.

He said that they are owing the players for the qualifiers and some friendlies, but they have an agreement that they will pay with the money they make from the World Cup.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by naptu2: 8:59am On Jul 28, 2023
They are taking messages and listeners are slamming Charles. They say that Demola just admitted that the NFF are owing the Falcons. They say that it doesn't matter whether it is in a friendly, qualifiers or whatever, the point is that they are owing the Falcons.

One of the listeners said that they just spoke about England and Canada, and so Ian Wright has the right to talk about the Falcons.

Some say that he likes defending the establishment no matter what.

See this is how everyone should know u are full of it. Esther played in front of Glory for at most 10 minutes. The rest of the time she was on the other wing with Alozie. If anything the switch was made so Rasheedat would protect Alozie who had gotten in way more trouble.

Imagine. Because she’s able to hold her own at left back, she should be moved to the wings. Someone who isn’t even a natural at left back and is more about the defending than attacking part should be moved to a position of mostly attacking. Recipe for disaster.

You people should calm down na. The journey is long o. They trump the falcons in their ball playing, but they also played teams that the Falcons will beat comfortable.

With all their ball playing sef, they had a 31% possession against Sweden and 39% against Argentina. They are a young team will a lot of potentials but that's all there is to it.

England is good, but nothing they've done the last 2 games is reason enough for us to want to avoid them. Against Haiti, they were fortunate to win via a penalty goal and the recklessness of the Haitians in front of goal. Their goal against Denma right now is cause they were allowed too much space which Lauren James took advantage of. They've really not had clear cut chances with all the spaces then Danish team has afforded them. They won't get this much space against Nigeria with the way we are set up. They should also try to avoid us too.

🚨HT: England 1-0 Denmark

Lauren James’ sixth minute goal makes the difference for the Lionesses.

Unfortunately for England, midfielder Keira Walsh has been taken off for a suspected knee injury.

Women generally have less muscle mass around the knees, and their knee joints are looser and move more.

That's why ACL tears dey affect them very well.

England that cannot score more than one goal. Unless nnadozie gifts them a goal kick assist, they may not score

omo, its like these women start playing football in their mother's belly. The kind of 15, 16, 17 year olds I'm seeing running around on the pitch in this WC is mindblowing. Men with all the hype don't click that early. Not to talk of the mbappes, messis and ronaldos
