Hope you removed and kept to the side money for car repairs and body pain relief. Also you can educate us on how you deal with the psychological trauma of having to compete with desperate drivers for crumbs as fares and the long waiting time to eventually get a "good trip".

Why rideshare is a decent way to make some change daily, it is highly advisable that you work on exiting this hustle in the nearest future for your own good mentally, physically, financially and otherwise.

A word is enough for the wise "Active driver"

Only a f00lish person will be utilizing a machine for work everyday and not put into consideration the fact that the same machine is liable to breakdown unexpectedly or otherwise in the nearest future.

That your line concerning body pain is also stale. Do you think it’s only drivers that experience pains on their jobs? Even bankers deal with uncomfortable chairs and unruly customers which also affects their health and mentality on some days. If you fall ill you take a few days off to recover. It’s the natural thing to do.

To me all these excuses for not working is used by the lazy ones or those with one underlying health issue or the other.

You have been driving and showing the world your journey on YouTube and have now burnt-out yet see yourself fit to advise someone else driving and low key teaching others his secrets to making steady profits? What makes you think the person you quoted wants to drive till he is 50 years old? (and even if he wishes to what’s you own concern so far he’s making his money and paying his bills)

What is your new niche on YouTube? You call yourself luxury driver yet want to switch to videos concerning things other than driving ? With that same YouTube account? In my own view it seems you’re confused at this point and I would blame tinubu squarely for that unless whatever you want to switch to has a semblance of the word luxury in it I advise you change your channels name to mirror whatever new videos you are going to be uploading for public view.

If you have psychological trauma, best you go see a psychologist. You were driving a 3.2 liter Mercedes Benz on ehailing, a very stupid move, but na me get trauma.

Where's your Benz?

Yes. I want to exit the hustle and start a "how to escape poverty blog" on YouTube

Give me tips

The Mercedes benz was a car I personally had before venturing into ridesharing, I sold the car a while ago to buy a smaller vehicle which has been great.

It's a good idea you want to venture into blogging/vlogging I wish you the best with that.

And as regards being traumatized unless you want to continue to live in denial sitting and waiting in your car has some negative impact on your mental health let's call a spade a spade thus the need to prioritize learning a high income skill to support rideshare and eventual replace driving to earn. Make person nor go wake up one day and realize he/she is already 50 and still doing fastest finger on indriver grin

when I used to gross 1m a month, I worked longer hours. Fuel wasn't 100 naira. You don't need to lie to make a point.

I worked longer hours because I was single, and I was grossing 1m. Now I'm married, I work less than 13hrs and will gross over 1,350,000 at current work rate, or 1,650,000 if I work at the same pace I used to when I was single.

Your calculations are jargons. You can argue, but you can't argue facts.

Hmmm grossing 1,350,000 yet can't afford to go on a family vacation even in a close by African country or live in a middle-upper class neighborhood, continue to live in denial its part of the process. The matrix has placed rideshare driving as low income earners and sorry to burst your bubbles that ain't changing.
I only hope you are investing right because rideshare can take you from 100 to zero in a split second grin nor be juju be that

On putting money to the side true but remember the roads and driving conditions in our country eats up the vehicle faster than normal which makes maintenance issues come up more frequently than normal.

Of course body pain and work related fatigue is not limited to only driving job, however there are many better ways to earn money, ridesharing is not a bad way to earn but it is certainly not the best. The physical strain on the body is quite high.

Yes I chose to document my journey as a rideshare driver and entrepreneur, to give guidance to new bees, but that doesn't mean I should be stagnant and not explore other opportunities on life In the aim to better my life and that of my family.

My niche still remain what it has always been the journey of an self employed Nigerian Youth who ventured into rideshare but still open for other entrepreneurial opportunities thus the names "The Driverpreneur" and oh my channel is doing quite okay from my analytics. I feel fulfilled with the originality of my work and effort. My category is clearly defined by YouTube. smiley

Bottom line rideshare is a trap by the matrix we all must plan to escape.

If an Uber driver cannot afford a vacation after grossing 1 million plus monthly, then nobody who earns it, can too.

A 1 million salary is "Gross" too.

If your YouTube earnings are 1 million, it is still "Gross" too.

Get the point I'm trying to push, rideshare money is peanut except you have a fleet before you can bearly reap the profit, if you a solo driver you will only continue to live hand to mouth driving full time.

Of course I can boldly say I have experienced most if not all of the challenges with driving full time. I man in a WhatsApp group recently had engine issue that required total engine overhaul for a corolla, guess how much he had to bring out? We had to support him just so he can continue working

Yet you created a YouTube channel to show ‘newbies’ how to make it on ehailing? Knowing the above bolded information before hand?

It’s like you need to pause whatever you’re doing with that your YouTube account and give cheerfulgiver its username and password so he can continue from where you stopped. It’s obvious you’re no longer the ‘driver-preneur’ you used to be undecided

One thing I have come to learn in life is there will always be supporters and haters of your work no matter how hard you try. Here on Nairaland, I have received both end of the pole. This same platform helped me grow to over 7k subscribers on YouTube. Please for the supporters and haters out there I am calling on you all to show similar support to my TikTok page where I share both rideshare and entrepreneur-related content.

Bottom line rideshare is a trap by the matrix we all must plan to escape.

Life itself is a trap bro. There is nothing like ‘the best job’ out there, no matter what you do there will always be someone doing something better. If you keep chasing after getting the best job you will never be able to plan your life to become self sufficient. Ever heard of the term “rat race” ?

Use what you currently have to make the best of what you can become in this short time God has given you to live on earth. Contentment comes from the heart and it’s even a given that humans can never ever be satisfied.

Why not face your own hustle and allow the next man face his own? Is he begging you for money? Will you go to the vulcanizer on your street and start telling him to leave his work and go and learn how to repair vehicles because you feel it will be a better hustle for him? What if he has built his life around that vulcanizing gig and he has attained balance for his family’s upkeep and contentment in his heart.

How many dangotes’ do we have in Africa yet every black man strives daily to become someone just like him?

Na wao undecided
