Fun facts: - Nnadozie joins Peter Rufai and Enyeama as the only Nigerian keepers to keep 3 WC clean sheets - this is the first time the SF will earn 2+ clean sheets in the group stage - First time ever that the SF will complete a WC group stage with a positive goal difference - First time ever that the SF will go through a WC group unbeaten 4 Likes |

Well only very few expected us to qualify out of the group so it's still a great outing regardless. Unless China does the impossible england it is. 5 Likes |

Anyways let's just take this qualification in good faith. For a team that has lost more games than every team in the world at the WC and going unbeaten in this one is something. 6 Likes |

I won't lie shaa, when the draw was made I said we'd be lucky to get one point. Kudos to Waldrum and his team. Maybe the fairytale will continue in the next round. BTW I'll be firmly supporting China tomorrow. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Well this game shows me that we are better off playing the group D winners than runners up. |

I don't understand the irrational fear of England. Give them their due respect, fine. But don't make.it seem they are unbeatable. Only those who didn't watch both of their games will think so. For Gods sake they have scored 2 goals so far in this competition; one from a penalty and another by the sheer brilliance of Lauren James and Denmark allowing them too much space. Don't take this as me playing down on England, but we shouldn't make it seem we can't beat them. If we put our hearts to it and are disciplined we would beat England. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Unlimited22:Nah, from her interview with that podcaster that interviewed randy, she was worried and anxious about the permutations and possibility of playing England. Women football differs from Menβs own in the fact that mentality surpasses skills in determining performance, plumptre is not Iwobi and Iβd rather not play her till sheβs ready to give π― 1 Like 1 Share |

What a positive end to our group stage run. No negative GD and we played like this was some semifinal. Glad to also see Onumonu doing what I've wanted to see her do. When Ucheibe started her nonsense around 80mins, i wondered why she was still on, especially as Ayinde was always drifting left to form that 3man block. We made them run out of idea till it became all balls to Katie. Who else noticed Demehin long balls were accurate? That's new!!π She should sharpen that aspect. It's cool. That last attempt by Gift Monday was a joy to behold. I wished Ajibade didn't attempt that shot. There were 4 teammates to chip it to in a way better position for a better shot. Nice one all the same. Ayinde leaving the left side to come and ginger chemistry with Alozie. Who is this gem mehn? ππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎππΎAlozie forward runs again. Pls lets use Wingbacks one day. Just look at that ajibade miss after that gift Monday's brilliant run that could have won it for us. These guys should be more clinical as we're heading into the knockout stages where there's no second chance. 1 Like |

Onomonu trending on Twitter. Guess what for? Nigerians are saying she should have started ahead if Oshoala, even those who didn't fancy her before. Sometimes we just have to accept we don't know better than the coach. All those who keep advocating for her absence can now see how important she is to the overall play of the team. Glad she sat out today to make that apparent. 6 Likes |
