These are the demons i talked about!

Show us where Chileans and Brazilians are jumping the fences at Mexico to enter the US?! So Chileans would jump the fence yet enjoy visa free access to the US and its labour market? Brazillans have less than 20% visa refusal rate to the US, YET the same Brazillians are jumping fences into the US? A university-educated Mexican only needs to apply for a TN visa to work in the US, YET Mexicans are jumping fences? Do you know what it means to enjoy visa free access to the US? Do you know what it means to enjoy free access to the US labour market? Only five countries do and Mexico and Chile are among them.

You are confusing Guatemalans, El Salvadorans and Venezuelans for Chileans and Brazilians. A Chilean passport holder HAS unfettered ACCESS TO THE US AND ITS LABOUR MARKET. THIS IS AN UNDENIABLE FACT!

You people are cruel and wicked! Terrible demons! Spits!!!!!

I very much doubt Mexicans have unfettered access to the US labor market. If they did, 20 million Mexicans would emigrate overnight.

Hmm, well maybe. I've gotten a lot of rejections for jobs I actually qualified for but because of location I wasn't hired. One even told me specifically that assuming I'm in the EU, they can still hire me, but not outside Europe.

People still get well paying remote jobs from here though.

Mexicans are eligible for TN visa to work in the US due to the NAFTA free trade agreement. Only 5 countries have access to the US labour market. Chile, Australia, mexico, Singapore and Canada.

You got that one wrong there, the only country in the world who can cross over to work in the USA without work Visa is Canada end off not even the Uk as I needed such to carry out work for just two weeks as a British citizen!
The Chileans as well as 38 other countries need iVisa to get into the US and its for 90days Only, it can be gotten as easy as in 4 hours. It doesn't allow you to work. If you need work you will need a different kind of visa and reject rate high just like everywhere else xcept you got exceptional skills needed.
This was a question asked by a Chilean after the earthwake

Q1. I am a Chilean national and cannot return to Chile at this time due to the earthquake. My allowed time to stay in the United States is expiring or about to expire. What are my options? Can I work during my stay in the US?
A1. If you wish to change or extend your non-immigrant status, you may request an extension if you meet the existing criteria for your specific non-immigrant category. If you are a B-1 or B-2 visitor, you may apply for a six-month extension on the basis that the events of Feb. 27, 2010 earthquake and its aftermath make you unable to return to Chile at this time. Although B-1 and B-2 visitors may receive an extension under these special considerations, they are not authorized to work in the United States. Normally, an extension application must be filed before the authorized stay expires. According to existing guidelines, USCIS may accept applications for change of status or extension of stay after the period of authorized admission has expired. No waiver of this filing fee is available.

Thank you for your answer. This sounds more factual. If the country truly had unfettered access, it would lead to a loss of Chileans to the US, despite their high standard of living.

New Zealand and Australia have such an agreement.

Even though New Zealand is a rich advanced nation, they lose 27,000 of their citizens each year to Australia because of this policy. Considering New Zealand has about 4m people, this is a staggering amount.

Most of you are Nigerians only by birth but you belong to another useless nation by Spirit.. oya mention things that Chile people are proud and I mention two things that makes us prouder...Chile is as useless as Nicaragua.

Don't talk about things you know nothing about.

Chile produces about a third of the world's copper. It is also a big producer and exporter of many agricultural products. It is richer than Nicaragua

The problem isn't that Chile isn't prosperous. The problem here are those who tear down their race and country.

Thank you. This is what I have been trying to say, You know we all read the Bible but have a different interpretation or understanding to it.But on this Question and answer between a Chilean and a US home affairs official, they clearly reiterated the rules and regulations.

Internet infrastructure in Chile is very developed. Honestly if not for making calls you can live without getting a sim card. There's literally internet everywhere. From the airport to taxis to trains to buses to restaurants. Just putting up your wifi on any streets brings like 3 free wifi networks and this isn't even the capital city. The capital is Santiago and that's like 7 hours from here. Internet here is also very very fast. Screenshot is from the wifi at the Airbnb I am staying at

What you used was an L1 transfer visa which even you can get from Nigeria provided you work for an American company with a branch in Nigeria. Nothing special

Yeh but this was n ot what that ignorant renter was saying he seems to think one can just wake up and cross to the USA no checks Visa waved, visa is waved for tourism but if u want to work there are further requirement. I had to work in the US last year for just two weeks I needed a Visa even as a British citizen with blue passport, SO you want to tell me Chile has more rights to enter the US more than its colonial fathers' know some people will say their legs have reached a height even where their Head has not reached! Same was said about Brazil, I was there Jan to Feb this year,I met two Nairalanders, they are here still, I dnt want to mention their names as they are work in progress. they were chatting to me and my Mrs.They have tried to travel via road to the US two times failed cos they got robbed, so they are trying to raise money.
Bro you see these routes, do you have any Idea of howmany Nigerians are strandedThey wont say anything they will even encourage you to come when you land eye will clear! But Im not saying all of them though cos people have different level of satisfaction. Som nah that country be heaven!

People don't like the truth.

I told someone here that Brazil has a high crime rate. I said I doubt he can live in the Oshodi equivalent of San Paulo.

All this visas exists for chileans. There's no special one for UK passport holders. The h1b visa itself is a lottery based visa where there's 85000 visas against 780k applicants. The L1 is a transfer visa which you can use if you work for a US company in another country. Your options are to struggle against other one million applicants for H1B or use an L1 visa as a UK citizen. It's right there in what you posted

I am surprised that Chile has such a high kidnap rate.

Generally for crime overall is lower than the United States, especially homicides with firearms

oh kidnapping is very rampant in the uk and America but these are rich countries so they don’t kidnap you for money. They kidnap you to turn you to a sex slave in someone’s basement. Very common crime especially in America lol

Getting a student visa to chile.

The first step is to look for admission. This one is particularly up to you. Some schools require legalization of documents before you can apply for admission. Take note. If the school requires legalization of documents, it would mean that you would need to legalize twice. First, your school documents before applying for admission, and the second time, your police report. You need your legalised police report to apply for the visa.

Legalization process

Start building up your proof of funds while you start this. You need to take your documents first to the ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja then to the Nigerian embassy in Ghana and then to the ministry of foreign affairs in Ghana before taking it to the chilean embassy in Ghana. The embassy charges around 14 usd per document. Once you are done with legalisation of documents you need to apply for your visa. In chile, the visa comes from the government itself. Any agent promising you a chilean visa is a thief. Everything comes from chile.

Applying for visa.

Head on to https://tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl/ and then click on Solicitud de Residencias Temporales para extranjeros fuera de Chile. Follow the instructions and upload all required documents. You will be asked for two important documents which you will have to get from your school. Your matricula certificate and your regular student certificate. You also need to print out your bank statements and attach them. Once you have submitted the application you have to pay around 225 USD online and wait for a response. If its successful, you will receive an electronic stamp in a month. Once you receive your stamp, you have 90 days to enter chile and once in Chile you have 30 days to get your RUT number.

This is the problem I have with you people - you people lie a lot and you do this brazenly. Also, if you must lie, please do so intelligently.

Chileans have the H1B1 category where they get allocated 1,400 H1B1 visas annually of which it never gets filled up. By this, they have a direct route to be employed since the visa allocation is automatic since it never gets filled. Singaporeans have 5,400 slots. That too never gets filled. Unlike the rest of the world who slug it out in H1B that has only 85000 slots of which 65000 are for BSc holders. Chileans are not subjected to this. Mexicans also enjoy the TN visa you said only Canada does. See? You have lied the second time. Then Australians have the E-3 visa category to be employed directly by US companies without issues or playing a lottery system.

See? That is the third lie.

Congrats bro. I'll also be coming to Scotland this month for my MSC program. I got a number on Nairaland for a job over there ... But the person couldn't help me with one saying I don't have UK working experience.

Is there anyway you can assist with a job or referral at where u work?? I'll be doing my MSC at a Uni in Glasgow.

Your name looks familiar like you're a programmer, wouldn't it be better to use your msc time for internships instead, so you can get a good IT job straight out of school assuming they retain you in one of those internships, instead of just working for money.
