Marvel fans: If Holland is on Earth 616, then where do Tobey and Garfield belong?

Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man are from Earth-96283 and Earth-120703, respectively. These are alternate realities from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which is set on Earth-616.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)......9/10

It delves into the life of Benjamin, a person with a weird rare condition of being born aging backwards. He is birthed as an old man with all the physical features and ailments of an octogenarian. As he continues to age through the years he becomes younger every year.

It touches on life in general, being looked at different, being weird and Benjamin struggles to be accepted by society — even his dad abandoned him in childbirth. Also burdened with the expectations of people because he's physically an old person.
He's a kid in an old man's body.

His love life with his childhood friend delivers some joy and relief from the bleak outlook. Brad Pitt plays very well the middle aged Benjamin till his early 20s. Incredible dynamic on-screen vibe he had with Cate Blanchett. That lady is a beauty. 🥵
She gave a memorable performance as Benjamin's love interest. The whole cast did a wonderful job as well as Tilda Swinton who held the attention with the small screen time she had. Taraji P Henson also gave very good account of herself as the adopted mother of Button.

Some people might envy Benjamin Button as people age and grow old, he only gets younger than them. Some might think it's a blessing till they realise it's actually a curse cos for most of his life he watches almost everyone close to him grow old and die. It begins to become a heartbreaking watch when you begin to reach the age where Benjamin ages backward to a kid while he was in his seventies. The transformation is harrowing as he forgets himself and people he knew, till he physically ages to a toddler forgetting how to walk or talk until he transformed into a baby. Marking his death.

The CGI looks really good in capturing the transformation all through the years. Superb storytelling, writing and directing. The Cinematography was superb with a great score to boot.

As weird and fantastical as the tale may be, there's a touch of realism and grittiness as is always expected of a David Fincher directed movie.
He's probably my favourite director now.

Almost 3 hrs of premium storytelling.
Highly recommended. 👌

I'm really really glad to know a fellow cinephile 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺❤️
The ones I bolded are ones I used to watch when I was being forced to watch with my dad so they bring lots of memories😭, I need to go back to my roots
I'll start with the 70s and leave my review here for each of them thanks soo much.
PS: you'll notice the 80s are almost filled up mostly because that was the height of true cinema in my opinion
Surprised you didn't add Pulp Fiction, I love lengthy dialogues and also love action movies with an actual plot and plot twist that's actually the centre of the movie like the Departed and Star Wars 1977
Thanks once again
You are welcome.

You are correct, 80's is where the party at!. Hollywood was on a mad mad run in those years. It was like the filmmakers were on crack. They legit be having like 20 genuine best picture contenders each movie year! .

Your "No action" bit tied my hands a bit as "Pulp fiction" contains some lengthy action sequence, since you are into that, may i recommend "Reservoir Dogs" (1992), infact raid the entire Quentin Taratino Library 🙌🙌

Digital is always a chance to reflect changes in directional choice

The differences I've seen so far are very minor

I'm pretty sure they'll still release the Theatrical cut later
Did you see it at the Cinema? The first run had issues and the most was sound issues, they fixed it, and change few other things along the line during the cinema run.

So it will make no sense to release the theatrical cut, as they would have fixed everything for the Digital release.

Unpopular Opinion.................
I didn't really enjoy Across the Spider verse🧘‍♂️
One........ the animation was confusing to me, very strange, I thought they were just doing to much at this point, into the spider verse animation was already good for me😒
The character esp the villain didn't seem fleshed out enough for me so somehow this won't be memorable enough for me😒 and I'm sure I'm not the only one who will forget this film two weeks after watching🤦🏽‍♂️
It's a great film no doubt- the comedy is great but not the greatest animation of all times like some folks were hyping it to be- some people were comparing it to Toy Story - a whole toy story I can never forget😒
3.7/5
Not an isolated opinion. The animation style is easily distracting from the plot, you could get lost in it and lose track of what is really happening.

The Theory of Everything: 8.7/10
Genre: Biopics, Drama
.

Eddie Redmayne delivers an outstanding Oscar worth performance. And yeah, he won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 2015 Academy Awards for his role as Stephen Hawking.

The movie divulged into the life of renowned scientist Stephen Hawkins(Rest his soul) and that of his loving wife Jane. The chemistry between the two leads was something else. This is like the best love story I've ever seen.

Highly recommended.

Eddie was Stephen Hawkins. I watched some Stephen Hawkins clips and I was amazed by how much Eddie got his mannerisms. It must have been a grueling experience for him to distort his mouth and some other parts of his body to play Stephen. I’m glad he won an Oscars for it. He could have won the Oscars again for Danish girl the following year if not for Di Caprio.

Simply put, this was method acting at it's finest, the very best of the best.

Being a huge fan of his works and the legend himself(Stephen Hawkins), I'd say Eddie simply killed it, the distorted face, the facial expressions when he talks, the voice, OMG!.

I was hyping Ryan Gosling on his method acting in First Man, never knew there was someone far better than him..... Just as you said, Eddie was literally Stephen Hawkins a 100%, a well deserved Oscar indeed...

Haven't seen Danish Girl, but since you mentioned it, I'd go check it out and also check out his other movies.

Na abduleez1 sugar mummy you day attack so, my hand no day ooo 😂😂. I day tell you, she's just a fine face, her body no too set self(I wonder why guys are crushing on her). I'd pick Salma Hayek over her any time any day. Not talking about their acting prowess, cause both of them are the same.

For acting it's Charlize Theron and Jennifer Lawrence for me. Both ladies got a whole lot of acting range.

THE BEANIE BUBBLE --- 9/10

A beautiful historical drama about ambitions, business strategy, growth, wit, and the devastating effect of betrayal, insecurity, greed, selfishness, disloyalty and ungratefulness on a viral, mega, successful business.

One important lesson to learn here is, never let go of your human assets, they're the pillars of your business. Your loyalty, support and appreciation goes a long way in fostering and sustaining business health and growth. Unfortunately, lots of businessmen fail to adhere to this simple but powerful rule, and they and their businesses pay dearly for it.

INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR --- 3/10

An unterrifying horror flick with significant plot holes, and unexplored villain character. This is a movie whose horror theme was trying so hard to be horrifying, but nevertheless failed miserably at it, thus making the flick unintriguing.

Okay, questions;

* How did Dalton know that painting his art with black paint was going to seal the red door?
* How does painting Dalton's art with black paint seal the red door? What's the principle?
* What's the back story of the red demon? In the previous installments we see other villain characters being given a backstory, we were exposed to who they were in the real world and their connections to the human characters, but the red faced demon, we weren't. Who was it? What connection does it have to the human characters?

This and the unscary horror theme of the movie makes it unappealing to me. But I have to admit, the good thing about the film is the charming, chattty, naughty and somewhat sarcastic personality of Chris.

As for INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR, after the last installment, they should have just hung the boot. This one was totally unnecessary IMO. The movie was a quick cash grab that wanted to ride on the success of it's predecessors. The concept of astral travel has been over flogged throughout the franchise, irrespective of the fact that it's the corner stone of the franchise.

The red demon was very uneventful, it was basically a joke. The plothoes the movie had was something else.

Honestly the horror genre of late is nothing to write home about. Now, you watch horror movies and doze off.

Eggzactly.

With the way the red demon was introduced in the first installment, one would expect he was significant to the human characters, like have a connection to them. One would also expect they would have given a backstory to it like they did "the man who can not breath", "the bride in black", and "keyface", but nah, that wasn't the case. The modafvcker didn't even have enormous screen time. So much for a villain that was introduced in the first installment as a significant villain in the franchise.

It's horror theme was meh. I swear this is a movie that a kindergarten can watch seamlessly. What about its plot holes? Let me not even go there. What brand of crack were the Writer(s) and director on? The only good thing about the movie was the Chris character, she got me engaged with her charming personality.

As for Astral Projection, to me, I gat no issues with that. That was the cornerstone of the franchise. Everything was built around it and The Further.

As for the franchise, base on info and the movie's plot, this is the last Insidious installment. Any other movie in the franchise will be a spin off like the upcoming Thread: A Tale Of Insidious. Well, the studio might decide to renege on that and continue with the Insidious film series. To me, whichever way they choose to go, they shouldn't repeat the mess they did with Insidious: The Red Door. Seriously, Patrick Wilson messed up big time as the director on this one, but lucky for him, Sony, and the franchise, the movie made good cash.

As if I knew that I would have another chance to address this situation in the future. It hasn't been more than a few weeks since Abduleez was bashing talented actors who never got their big break on the big screen. The guy was blabbing as if he had no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

How many actors have wowed you with their acting prowess in a TV series but have never gotten that special call? But we are currently witnessing someone land major roles because of looks. I didn't even want to write a lengthy post about connections, favoritism, and Hollywood politics in general. People have a tendency to speak without thinking sometimes.
