ECOWAS wouldn't want arms to be smuggled via that route

I don't know why we are so blinded to this facts.... Nigerians are only sympathetic to this issue because of the fact that it's a Nigerian president that's heading ECOWAS and they hated him for just know reasons... if it were somebody else maybe we would not be surporting this army take over of government..... Democracy is still the best form of government if the political elites allow the people true power .. military only make things harder for any country Nigeria not an exception look at how much we lost as a nation under military rules

Smuggled to and from where?
It's ECOWAS no longer and economic community?
Why can't Tinubu and ECOWAS allow Nigeriens carry their cross?
Why cry more than the bereaved?
The Nigeriens are happy, why cry for them?
Arms snuggling ll only add more to the problems. It's not about Tinubu's selfishness but the future if the region. Last last, Niger ll be left alone. But they ll reap what they sowed in future. All of you children of hate ll regret your heating up of polity.

He was quick to impose sanctions not knowing it world distroy him rather , Benin republic wont be affected if they closed there border for years, if u have cash better restock buy more grains now that its still affordable

Not everything is a tribal war. There is no way to tilt this charade of coup loving military parading themselves as Saviour who would turn to oppress the people tomorrow.
If only you knew the history of military government in Nigeria . And yes I agree with you that they had a terrible leader and France influence on Niger is terrible too. But let’s take the issues to be solved on by one. 1. Discourage coup in Africa 2. Elections must be credible and count 3. Africans do not have to wait for 4 years to throw out bad leaders.

Nonsense! The trucks should be diverted to the Biafra-Niger border for easy pathway to Niger. Biafrans are their brothers' keeper, unlike zoogerians grin

Benin Niger border, not Niger Nigerian border or Benin Nigeria border.
Stop arguing like a fool. Get educated.

If Niger wants to export to Nigeria, they use the Northern borders which are also shut. That's why those in Sokoto were crying earlier in the week.

This is the effect of hate! That is not Nigerian border but Benin-Niger. Meanwhile, Niger is an Ecowas country and there is a common treaty signed by all members regarding military rule. Pls go and read it.
Tinubu is only acting in the common piece of Ecowas agreement whenever they meet and not just as Nigerian president!

This is not local politics at Play here... If the majority of ECOWAS members vote for no sanctions, Tinubu can't do anything about that.

Everybody should blame the military junta in niger because if there is no coup there is no restrictions.... For instance look at our own past military chiefs such as buratai... Alkali baba .... Sadiq abubakar.... Aba Moro... And so on if you want to rule your people why can't you rule in the right way and all the niger military junta if they want to rule they should resigned from military and join the country political parties

How can you be this stupid, everything happening in any of the border country affect everyone, from bokoharam to herdmen to kidnappers, what happens if another group seize a territory and a long protracted war begin, refugees begin to pile up, who do you think will bear the burden? All the neighbouring states.

Stop commenting like an illiterate. If the former ECOWAS chairmen have been firm when coup happened in Mali, Burkina Faso and the rest, coups won't keep on spreading in the region. Military have never brought economic prosperity to any African nation and it needs to be nipped in the bud.....
