I get your point.

The formation was not the problem but the distraction and the lack of speed to make up for lost possession. The moment NF brought in Elanga, that was the time for Arteta to have made adjustments. There was no need to continue to pin NF with 2-0 up.

Again, if Tomiyasu/Timber was where White was Elanga would not have ran all that distance without being caught up. At least to drag him wide instead of allowing him cut inside.

No matter the team, if you place men in the defensive third and outnumber them, they will always succumb. Then after getting the first goal, you allow them to come out and concede more. The only thing that is required is to not lose the possession. That would be almost suicidal. But even if you lose possession make sure you have sprinters as defenders. This will make whoever is countering to have a lot of distance to cover to get to goal.

I believe
Hmmm...
While I understand you, I would love to see how it unfolds sha.

Fingers crossed

What's wrong with Arsenal and injuries?

I am not sure you want to hear my opinion about this...because I have been singing about it like a bird for nearly 2 seasons now.

As for Timber's, there are 2 sides, one is Timber and the other is the team.

Timber has a history of lunging into tackles or going to the ground. When you go to the ground, you are stretching and activating a lot of muscles that may not be used all the time and you are not in control for the most part. When you lunge, you don't control how your body twists and the angles your muscles twist or stretch. When he lunged the first time, he probably activated muscles that were not properly stretched. He got up and tried to play with it and it gave out. While I like his courage and aggression, he has to learn when to lunge and how to tackle.

For the team.
I'd say he just joined a new team, a new league and the intensity of our training may be different from what he is used to. Maybe we could have eased him slowly into our training regime considering he was coming from the Eredivisie, I don't know. The minute he hobbled, I knew he had torn something and I hate muscular injuries because they require a lot of time to properly heal and can become recurring is not managed properly. I hope he rehabs well and we don't rush him back otherwise it would become recurring like Partey's situation.

As far as I am concerned apart from the Timber part, (I recall you saying something about that) somebody is responsible for poor management of physical health

Thank God nobody left from the defense. Imagine Yasu and Tierney had gone, or Partey, that's how this Timber ACL would start another makeshift nonsense or management till January. Glad the urgency of UCL football has made things diff for this. His game will have to change anyway. Slow integration.

I looked at Hatvetz and i can't understand why he didn't go for Barnes of Leicester.

I can't see how harvetz will improve that team.

Our scout let us down and MA didn't do his homework well in this purchase.

If Barnes comes, what will happen to Martinelli and Trossard?

You see that outside the box Curler/shot Saka scored, that's the thing I'm expecting from Martinelli to be good at. Honestly if they tell me 2yrs ago that Saka will be more proficient than Martinelli in outside the box shots, I would have doubted.

We need Martinelli to be proficient in it too. It's another good way of scoring goals against teams that park the bus especially as we'll be encountering them more this season

But Tomi is still makeshift at left back na cheesy

Honestly, I no dey feel Tomi for leftback. The only person who I'm comfortable to play Lb who isn't left footed is Timber and it's so sad he's gone on lengthy injury.

Well, it also seems you've forgotten Zinny (or maybe you intentionally left his name out).

Well, it's back to Zinny and I'm glad. I really miss that boy ball grin

There's a reason why Bayern and Real Madrid were interested in signing Havertz. He's clearly a talented player.
He can bring goals to the team if used correctly.

I deliberately left him out cos na him get position Normally. My fear is that left side now, as Kai is there, how does the zinny style now work. Without zinny, we are seeing how Nelli and kai are confusing each other.

Imo, the format we used last season for epl should be used for the ucl group stage. The draws are month end i believe.

Nelli needs to be called to the Tactic room and shown some clips of Sanchez so he can start doing the LHS kind of goals similar to that. Almost everyone that he faces already anticipate he cutting back to the left foot so they block the right so as to react better to the switch. That's why i like Trossard for such shots. Barely off target.

Calm down... What are the similarities between Barnes and Havertz? Do you think we just sign player for signing sake. We needed that height upfront to enable us play directly and Arteta went for Havertz. Can Barnes provide such skillset?

For our tactic to work, Martinelli has to stay high and wide. However, I still expect Martinelli to pop in with those types of goal occasionally but the guy no dey gree look up.

The PGMOL has started their nonsense again. The ref who officiated yesterday's match between wolves and Man U will be suspended for the weekend games. What did Wolves get at last? Useless apology.

If Timber will be out till next year, let's drop 20m for Fresneda. Immediately Timber comes back, we can let Tierney go. Make sense?

Anything muscle or ligament related is always long term. He may be back around April/ May 2024, depending on how he rehabs. I'd say we plan for next season with Timber.
