t's Laughable to Hear "Most Affordable PRICE " from you guys. What's Holding our Refinary?

You have no refineries.

Your refineries are simply channels for stealing money. The combined output of all four is less than Nigerias fuel requirements for one day!

Supply gas to the modular refineries and let Dangote pull his finger out. That's your only hope. The current refineries are gone.

If Tinubu was smart he could have channeled the subsidy money towards the speedy development of one refinery. But no the sharing continues

Dear Esteemed Customers, We At NNPC Retail Value Your Patronage,And We Do Not Have The Intention to Increase PMS Pump Prices As Widely Speculated, Please Buy The Best Quality Products at The Most Affordable Price at Our NNPC Retail Station Nationwide.

This means there will still be subsidy on petrol. This is because importers cannot sell petrol at the same price when dollars is N920 now as against 2 months ago when dollars was still N750.

As the market price of diesel at N920 per dollar is N900, the market price of petrol should be between N800 - N900, because the market prices of petrol and diesel are not to wide apart.

This is probably a fake information. NNPC no longer axist with this name. Moreover it's the market situations that will determine the price as claimed by the Federal Government.

This means govt has stylishly brought back subsidy but had suceeded in reducing the demand by causing pains to nigerians while smuggling continues.Awon market forces at least they have suceeded in pushing the middle class to poverty.Oil marketers should just continue watching NNPLC been the sole importers of fuel.

The only thing that market forces do in Nigeria is to push the prices up

As long as no refinery is working and we use our hard earned forex to import fuel

As long as we have erratic power supply and are producing or manufacturing anything tangible

As long as SME are choked with excess taxation and the economic climate is not favorable

As long as we reward corruption and put people with 2 credits in position of authority who have nothing to bring forward

The Naira would keep falling, no magic can bring it up

The only reasonable palative is 24/7 power supply at affordable rate this is the only way to save the SMEs in nigeria

The moment they denied it, increase of fuel price is inevitable.

Imaging a berbing shop that buys 5litter fuel everday @200 = 1000 but at 650 = 3250 additional 2250 cost of operation 2250 *30= 67000 addotion cost of operation which could have paid salaries

If petrol price is not increased then it's a scam by NNPC because when fuel was increased to 650 it was because the naira was reducing value fast, going to 750 to dollar then.
Dollar is now 900 to a naira a further 150 devaluation. So if NNPC is not increasing price of fuel further based on the continued slide of the naira,it means that they are now resubsidizing fuel, another fraud,or the CBN is diverting the dollars and selling to NNPC at a preferential, subsidised and definitely corrupt rate.
They were shouting that he is a technocrat, that market forces would see to the reduction or at worst stabilisation of petrol prices.
Guess the sawdust brain of baba blabulu could not forsee what is inevitably happening now and not even 6 months into his already looking doomed presidency,he would soon if not already directing NNPC to be subsiding fuel so that it doesn't reach the inevitable 1000 per litre;and may also direct CBN to go back to making preferential, corrupt dollar allocations.
It's only a f ool that does the same thing and expect a different answer,is a popular saying.
Millions of f ools made a mistake in 2015,repeated it in 2019 and again in 2023!
Yet they are expecting something different from the disastrous wreck Nigeria has become since 2015!!

What will make the price fall? The fact that naira is losing value every week or the fact that price of barrel of crude oil may increase from the current price of 78 dollars?

You were making sense until you reached that part. Respect people's decisions, everyone voted based on what each candidate campaigned with and majority can't be wrong.
Who says the candidates you voted for in 2015, 2019 and 2023 wouldn't have done worse than this, that's if you voted at all?

That is why we are in this mess because people are not held accountable and called for who they are or the actions they took.
If you voted Buhari 2015,understood,because the propaganda and lies about him having integrity, will fight corruption and thus other things would fall in place, was too much. Also aided by the West that felt the corruption under GEJ was too much and Buhari will right the wrongs.
But if you revoted Buhari in 2019,when just 6months into his presidency he was already a disaster and 4 years of his first term was a calamity in all spheres, then I repeat you are a mighty f ool that should be dumped in an asylum.
If 2023 then gave people the chance to try something new, Atiku,Obi,whosoever were far better options or at least other options that should have been tried,if for nothing but to punish APC for 8 disastrous years;yet you still voted Apc and Tinubu then f oolishness is an understatement.
There were estimated 8 or so million f ools that voted for Tinubu, fewer millions for the other candidates and several millions that didn't bother.
The 8 million remain monumental f ools!

If crude should dare rise above $100, we would be buying petrol above N1000, and that's not even considering the falling naira. No country and I repeat no country leaves its currency and energy to the vagaries of market forces at the same time. Economic thrives on stability. That's what enable entrepreneurs to make long term decisions. No entrepreneurs will invest in an economy with price fluctuations of currency and energy costs every day.

Well, the truth is that many people who are supporting these wicked policies don't know anything about Economy at all. I have never seen a country where leaders could be so useless to the extent of running away from their responsibilities to the citizens, and that includes running away from fighting corruption.
No roads, no water, no electricity, no subsidies on kerosene, diesel and petrol that we even have in abundance!
