Secondly, nobody is saying OP did the wrong thing. Two things are involved. It's either he's not able to afford her lifestyle or it's a problem of wrong timing on the lady's part., which is actually the problem I see, too. Because truthfully, one week is too sudden to ask another person to fund her expensive skincare routine just yet. You can't meet someone last week and you're already asking them for favours when it's not an emergency.

That said, your problem is that she dared asked him for cream when she could afford it, and I ask again, how is asking someone you're supposedly in a relationship with for cream a big deal?

Is it that the money is too much for you? If that is the case then OP, already made it clear she could afford her lifestyle. Lowest eye cream I've seen is 16k, specifically for eyes only.

There's day cream, night cream, face oil, face gel , exfoliating face scrub, cleanser, mask, etc all for face alone.
Then you add the body cream, body scrub,body oil. Add all these together if you won't have to spend close to a 100k .

Note: I give this price base on the product i know well and some of which I use. There are more expensive products out there.

Anyone who can't buy personal things like cream for herself don't deserve to be in a relationship whether rich or poor. She deserves to be single.

But there are actually people using more expensive creams on their body.

I stayed with a former roommate in school and her cream was 60k. She's from a rich family. Her skin was glassy!

Honestly, I barely believe these stories you guys complain About here. But I was shocked. How she told me, we can't be in a relationship anymore. Just before I didn't give her the 15k she requested for.

First of all, she started with a phone. I dudged it, and told her I don't have. Secondly clothes, and money for hair, I gave her the money for hair only.

The one that got be offended was then the 15k. I scolded her. And earned her never to beg me for money like she can't get these things by her self from her monthly Pay.

We were meant to go on a dinner date, and I asked her if she was coming. She was coming. She said yes.

I was to pick her, with an uber. She said no problem. I should be going. She will be there soon.

I got there, sent her a message. I was already there waiting.

This girl, sent me a long note. How she won't be coming any longer. And no longer interested in the relationship. I read the message and kept shut. I didn't even bother my self. Since this was something she could have simply told me and we could talk about it

About 4 months later, this girl sent me a message, about how she was sorry over the manner she broke up with me.

And that I should please forgive her,and accept her back if possible. I didn't even respond to her.

It was later on I heard the real gist from a friend that knows a friend to the guy she dumped me for.

The guy really did my ex, dirty. The dude promised this girl marriage, and later dumped her. .

This life sha, truely, all that glitters isn't gold.

Life is not all black and white, there are some grey areas, too. Sometimes just behave like mumu to get the answers you want. If he could afford it, I don't see how buying the cream for a woman he claimed to be dating should be a problem. No be ordinary cream? Was he expecting a millionaire to be using 5K cream? 😅

It's possible she has gotten the answer she needed, whether to forge ahead with a relationship with OP or not.

It's possible she wanted to do away with OP, reason she asked for the cream few days after they met.
It's possible she wanted to test him the same way "rich" men test their broke babes.

Bottom line is, it is not every woman who asks you for favours that actually needs it, but at this point OP may never be able to figure out her intentions because like the Nigerians we are, we're already programmed to label every woman who asks for favour as materialistic.

Some women, particularly independent women have seen premium shege in relationships, they, like their male counterparts have met leeches and gold diggers in the name of love, reason why they test you before it starts to get too serious.
