A thread clearly promoting secession which for years has been against nairaland policy was boldly pushed to the front page yesterday on Nairaland.

When I opened the thread and read the contents, I immediately knew why nairaland was willing to violate its own policy just to push such a divisive thread to front page.

It was meant to target a certain group and it did the job they wanted it to do.

In life, the people who hate you use legalities and technicalities to place a rule against you. They will always point to those rules as an excuse why they treat you unjustly.

But the moment those same rules get in their way, they are quick to violate those rules.

Lets wail together since its always about criticizing and condemning every institutions

I've never seen u guys create a thread to say positive things about this place yet u use this platform everyday

Now, I understand why Igbos live in the SW and still say vile things about their hosts...

We complain about evil politicians. Just imagine if people on nairaland are given real power in society. Imagine the kind of havoc they will cause. They make laws that they themselves violate.
