1. Did you read anywhere in that passage that Balaam enquired anything from Yahweh? Nope. In fact, it was Yahweh that was doing the enquiries.

9 God came to balaam and asked, “Who are these men with you?”

On the first occasion he was asking Balaam who the men are and he(Balaam) explained to Yahweh.
On the second occasion(when the men came back with more stuff), Yahweh told Balaam what to do, which he did.
AT NO POINT DID BALAAM DISOBEY YAHWEH OR EVEN EXPRESS GREED. HE TOLD THEM AB INITIO THAT HE WONT CURSE ISRAEL.

2. How come an omniscient god doesn't know the future(he doesn't know who men were and he didn't even know that they were coming back)
